Ravenbomb Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 sorry in advance for the image size I was on my way to Wichita, and just past Kansas City, next to the outer road, there was a lake. In the lake was this: There's a fucking hole in the water, with a door in it.

Tawren Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 That's incredibly cool looking, but what is it for?
The Czech Republic Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 That's so amazing. I want to visit.
tekcop Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 Probably a man-made lake. Dude.... don't ruin it.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 That picture reminded me of Goldeneye for some reason.
Masked Man of Mystery Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 Reminds me of Star Trek Insurrection, actually.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 And if I remember correctly, isn't there a song called "There's a Hole in the Middle of the Sea"?
nl5xsk1 Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 Someone tell John Locke ... once he gets off the island he can head to Kansas to investigate this thing.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 It's for flood control. that way the water level will stay constant even if you get a downpour. The water goes through pipes at the bottom of that shaft. The cage is to keep it from getting choked with debris like trees and livestock, and to make it visible to boats.
The Czech Republic Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 How come did no water goes in the little hole?
PLAGIARISM! Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 It's for flood control. that way the water level will stay constant even if you get a downpour. The water goes through pipes at the bottom of that shaft. The cage is to keep it from getting choked with debris like trees and livestock, and to make it visible to boats. But it could still be used in Star Trek and Goldeneye, right?
