Things you predicted and called before the happened.

My brother and I, said Brady should of been playing for NE instead of "statue" Bledsoe even before Bledsoe was injured.

Called that Ryan Leaf would be a complete flop.

I called that Ben was better than Manning and Rivers. Then again I think a lot of people did that.

I also called that OU would have the most players drafted....I think that was a given again though.

I've called 10 out of the last 12 Super Bowls correctly (including the NE-St. Louis game and the Tampa Bay-Oakland game, both of which would have made me a fair amount of money had I bet on them), the only two I didn't were Packers-Broncos (bias probably.. and they were heavily favored) and Rams-Titans. However, I did call Kurt Warner fizzling out and being totally overrated.

I'm usually pretty spot-on with my NBA predictions as well.

I picked OU going down, hard, in two straight national title games before they happened.

Where did Warner play college ball at again?

Me just thought of a spin off thread.

Northern Iowa. Here's his college bio via azcardinals.com:

College: Gateway Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a senior at Northern Iowa … led the conference in total offense and passing efficiency … passed for more than 300 yards four times … two-time Gateway Player of the Week … started only as a senior

Ben also didn't have to do much, and had a MUCH better team around him than both Manning and Rivers. He sure as hell fucked up the playoffs for the Steelers, though.

I picked Kentucky to beat Syracuse for the NCAA Title in 1996. I've not had much success picking anything since.

In April of 2001, I said to a Yanks fan at my high school as we were arguing:

YF: Yanks are going to the World Series...blahblahblah

Me: Yeah, but they're going to lose

YF: To who? Atlanta?

Me: No. You know who's going to win the whole thing? Arizona.

YF: [laughing uncontrollably]

The last time I visited my friends in MA, I made it a point to track this kid down and laugh in his face. I also still owe him some laughter for the playoffs.

If we're on quarterbacks, I called that the Giants were going to be in playoff position until they benched Warner for Manning at which point they would completely blow the season.

I also said before the season that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl, and that the Falcons would face the Eagles in the NFC Championship. I thought the Falcons would win though, so I guess that's wrong.

I've picked every Super Bowl correctly since Washington/Buffalo.

I called the Pistons beating the Lakers last year.

I predicted that the Pats would beat the Rams in the SB and the bucs the next year though that was obvious.

I predicted in April 98 that the Yanks would sweep the world series, and this was before it became evident that they would have a monster season.

I predicted a Subway Series before the 2000 season, though its not that great I guess.

I called the Pistons beating the Lakers last year.

I like semi-called it....ok I didn't call it at all.

I was at work and the Lakers and Pistons were set to play.

And I said "Well maybe the Pistons can pull the upset!' and this guy i work with goes "Yeah right!" and I go "Yeah you're probably right......." but I had a glimmer of hope b/c of how much i hated LA.

My golfing buddy said it right to my face. I outright called him a lying idiot.

Mickelson to make the putt on 18 to win. Made that call at noon that wonderful Sunday.

For some reason, I can always make a final four type close prediction, but can never finalize the deal.

I called New England over St. Louis in SB 36.

I picked the Steelers to win the AFC North last year when everyone and their mother was picking Baltimore.

My best prediction ever, though, was calling a New England/Carolina Super Bowl just a few weeks into the 03 season.

I called the Pistons beating the Lakers last year.

I can testify to this. I had it in my sig all through the playoffs and afterwards as well, to shame myself.

I submit to you my post before game 7 of Red Sox-Yankees 04:

Posted on: Oct 20 2004, 01:13 PM

I just have a gut feeling theyre gonna pull this off, whether it is Brown or Vasquez going for New York. If its Brown he's feast or famine he can throw a one hitter or leave the game in the second inning, considering his performance in Game 3, I'm more inclined to believe he'll have something closer to a Joaquin Andujar meltdown rather than an epic performance. Vasquez is an OK pitcher but I dont see him having the mettle to perform well in a Game 7. On the flip side, I know Derek Lowe isn't exactly a safe bet for Boston but he can come through in tight situations. My hunch is that all Lowe needs to be is average tonight (ie, 3 runs through 6 innings) and the Red Sox will win this game. I simply dont see the Yankees pitching coming through.

I sorta of called Denver making the Super Bowl during the 1997 season. Told a buddy of mine, I wouldn't be shocked if Denver with lower expectations actually made it this year.

Called NE beating Pittsburgh in the teams first AFC championship matchup.
