Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted May 1, 2005 It was either June or July 1992, and was put on the Coliseum Video titled "Smack 'em Whack 'em", which also featured Bret Hart winning the World Title from Ric Flair. Edit: Jingus, you mean Bad News Allen (a.k.a Bad News Brown)?
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 Yeah there was. I've got it on tape. And before THAT there was a Dusty Rhodes vs. Tully Blanchard "barbed-wire ladder match" in which they sorta kinda almost touched each other's forehead to the barb wire, and then climb like two steps up a ladder to grab a bag of money or somethin'. And before THAT there were a few ladder matches in the Stampede promotion in Calgary, involving Bret, the Dynamite Kid, and that big black guy whose name escapes me right now. Bad News Allen/Brown? Slickster 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 A lot of people seem to forget that HHH had two chances in the King Of The Ring '97, he got eliminated in the first round by DQ but then Vader was injured so he got another chance. People don't remember that No one remembers there were only 7 people in the 1997 KOTR.
JST 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 The nWo porno music first debuted during the nWo PSA's, and then became their entrance theme at Hog Wild 96, same show where Hogan won the title.

People don't remember that No one remembers there were only 7 people in the 1997 KOTR. This was something that always bugged me... was there any explanation why the Tournament was so short in 1997? The roster wasn't that depeleted they couldn't make a 16-man tournament.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted May 1, 2005 A new one that popped up... Way too many people seem to think that the Survivor Series '88 opening match was the 10 on 10 tag team special, when on the PPV, the match with Team co-captains Ultimate Warrior/Brutus Beefcake and Honkytonk Man/Whoever was. Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2005 Here's a good one: People think Bob Backlund said "I Quit" at WM 11. He didn't. Bret had him in the crossface chickenwing and Piper asked Backlund if he would quit and Backlund said "Yes". The words "I Quit" never came out of his mouth. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2005 A lot of people forget that the Steiners won the WWF tag team titles twice. yea and alot forget that scott was TV champ when he left wcw in 92 and had basically turned heel. Most don't remember the Acolytes debut. They think they debuted in the minstry, but actually it was in around october of 98, when they debuted as the new team of the Jackyl (Ecws cyrus, aka Don Callis in TNA). In fact I always thought he first called them "The Jackyltes" but I might be wrong there. He left wwf right after that and the team didnt do much until they returned by attacking dennis knight and delivering him to taker to be reborn as Mideon. Guest news_gimmick Report post Posted May 8, 2005 I don't know how many people even remember this, but the Godwinns at one point, a little after SummerSlam 98, were bodyguards for Jeff Jarrett and were called "Southern Justice". It didn't last very long because Henry Godwinn got hurt and thats when Phinneas floundered around until becoming part of the Ministry.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2005 I remember Southern Justice. I also remember around 1999-2000 when the ratings were in the 7.0s and the following was unbelievable, a group of girls who were in love with the Rock would simply not believe he was ever a 'bad guy' let alone one in that very same year. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 I'm pretty sure they were always called "The Acolytes." I think I heard it wrong at first, i thought he said jacklytes asuuming that cuz it was his name and all and figuring he would use it, and not knowing what the term acoyltes meant didnt help. But most people don't seem to remember Jackly intro-ing the team.

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 southern justice I do remember, and it was right at the end of the gimmick when Mark Canterbury (Henry Godwinn) got hurt, that Dennis Knight (aka phineas aka mideon) was summoned to raw by "him" and kidnapped and taken to a dungeon or somethin by the acolytes, the beginning of the minstry angle
