I can't think of many right now, but the Blue Meanie, Nova, and even to a lesser extent Raven were brought in for Stevie Richards. The latter two were his underlings, and Stevie brought Raven in during his feud with Tommy Dreamer.

Giant Gonzalez to fued with the Undertaker, Nailz to fued with Bossman, Deacon Batista for Reverend D-Von, Tomko for Christian, Chainsaw Charlie for Cactus Jack, Elizabeth for Randy Savage, Virgil for Dibiase.

Christian was brought in to be part of the Gangrel/Edge angle that went nowhere at 150 MPH.

Zip (I think that was the name) came in for Skip and Sunny, then after Sunny left The Body Donnas they brought in Cloudy, ugh these shouldnt even count.

 

Lief Cassidy was brought in with Marty Jannetty for the New Rockers.

 

Geez why am I only thinking of crappy characthers? Wait I can do better.

 

Nash & Sid were both brought in to be Shawn Michaels bodyguard, at different points....well thats a bit betterI guess.

Nikita Koloff was Ivan's nephew.

 

Glacier had James Vandenburg,Wrath and Mortis.

 

Cactus Jack and Abdullah the Butcher were brought in to WCW in 91 to feud with Sting for a few months.

 

Faarooq,Crush and Savio Vega had guys brought in to be part of their groups.

 

Jeff Jarrett had the Roadie.

 

Tank Abbott had that Big Al guy in 2000.

 

Hilbilly Jim had Cousin Luke and Uncle Elmer.

 

In the 70s and 80s Sammartino and Backlund had loads of guys brought in to feud for a couple of months, lose and then leave the company.

I disagree on this here. Back then, wresting was still territory based, and most heels never hung around the same place too long to the point they would start losing heat. Their job was to come on, beat up the big face, lose the blowoff, and leave for a while. Lather, rinse, repeat.
