So I'm doing the free trial of Netflix...

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I got desperate. No search for 'Pennies From Heaven' has shown up on my WinMX and the dvd might as well be non-existant where I am.

So... on a whim, I checked out NetFlix. They have it, cool, great. But I have no money. A Free Trial version~! Hm. Investigation occurs.

It says that there's a two week trial period, after which the credit card will be billed. You can cancel anytime and no billing charges. Do I have a credit card? Hell no. My mom does, though. So... after much debate, I... put it in. So... after much debate, I... put it in.

Major nervousness. Anyone else attempt the free trial only to cancel? If so, any complications? Inquiring primarily of their billing. It says that if you cancel, there's no charges but.. yeah. Always the fine print that it doesn't put on the site.

I'd assume that there be no charges should ye return the dvd's.

I didn't have a problem with GameFly, and one of their games was lost in the mail. I got it after I cancelled my free trial. I emailed them about it and they told me to keep it.

Netflix is absolutely perfect with their trials.

The DVDs don't need to be back when you cancel either. As long as they arrive seven days after the end of the trial, you're okay.

You should call Netflix's customer service number when it's time to cancel. When they ask you why, say that during your two week trial, two discs had light scratches that slightly affected its playing. They'll either extend the trial by two more weeks, or give you another month for free.

Woah, that is a great idea. So they are dumb like AOL?

Of course, that would also make you a liar and a thief.

Meaning....? So because I'm a woman that makes me a natural liar and thief?

Yeah, I guess I'm not really one to be lecturing people on honesty.
