As far as the board getting criticized for what it's done to its CE folder, I'm not sure I follow. Banning ONE POSTER doesn't exactly swing the pendulum entirely the other way and turn the board into a liberal board. If the presence of one person is that sorely missed, then the folder was never that strong anyway.

 

 

Causation. After Mike was banned for bullshit reasons, the majority of the conservative posters on the board, partly in protest over the banning and partly in disgust at the obnoxious glee that certain CE posters (okay, Jobber and RobotJerk) took in the banning, made the conscious effort to boycott the CE folder altogether. As a result, the pendulum really DID swing, and all that was left of that folder were the liberal posters. And Boon.

To WDI and SNKT's credit, they were a seperate entity from TSM entirely (I think WDI predates it, too). You could go on either board and not see thread after thread and post after post about this place; not the case with JWING.

 

And I'm not going to levy attacks on that board entirely, either. From the time I was there, much of the bitching came from Slapnuts and MikeSC; they're the two that can't let go.

 

Of course, that might've changed. It's not like I can read the board anymore.

I used to like Jingus, but he really hasn't proven to be a cool guy by going off and making his own message board to get back at TSM, or whatever the fuck the point of its existence is. I'm posting at both boards. Jwing has some okay things going for it but so does TSM.

 

It's not that shocking there's alot of talk about TSM there right now since the makority of posters there are unhappy with TSM. If everyone at Jwing is still talking about TSM a month from now then I could see it being more of an issue.

 

I complained to Frigid about Inc's banning, which says something as I've never cared much for Inc. I think they regret it now but what's done is done I geuss.

 

WDI, UGS, SNKT, all these TSM alternatives, where are they at now?

 

WDI and SNKT never had anything to do with TSM. WDI was created because of problems with TheSmarks.com, which was TSM's predecessor. SNKT split off from WDI. And while UGS certainly was full of negativity towards TSM I don't recall any of us saying TSM was going to fall. I could easily be wrong as that was a long time ago and it's all hazy.
