yankovic fan 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 Replacement disc arrived this afternoon. I played it, in stereo. I don't know if there is a difference b/c I got my sound system between the time I sent the disc off and got the new one in. Either way, back to pretending I'm a rock star. Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 SUpposedly there is going to be a free song pack released in celebration of St. Patricks Day. http://kotaku.com/364932/ghiii-sets-dropki...e-for-st-pattys Additionally, Activision will be kicking off the St. Patrick's Day celebrations with a special free track pack from the popular Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys that will be available mid March. Straight from the band's sixth album, The Meanest of Times, the Dropkick Murphys pack will include master recordings of "Famous for Nothing," "(F)lannigan's Ball" and "Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya." The track pack will be available for free to download on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PLAYSTATION®Store. Awesome. I love the Murphys. I'll have to take my HD over to a friend's house and download it on their box though.
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 I don't wanna bitch on the fact that there's going to be a Dropkick Murphy's pack for free but it would have been nice to have the cover of Amazing Grace and their obviously most famous song (I'm Shipping Up to Boston) in that pack. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 I kinda wish the song they did that was featured in "The Departed" was in the pack.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 Well if we're talking favorites I'd love some of their more well known stuff like "Amazing Grace", "Sunshine Highway" or maybe something more upbeat like "The Dirty Glass". I'll take what I can get. Or they could have another band like Flogging Molly. I'd love to get a crack at something like "The Devil's Dance Floor" or "Drunken Lullabies" (esp. the banjo opening). Either way, I've gotta make sure I get this downloaded before the St. Patrick's Day parade here in town. Running the parade, getting plastered, then trying to stagger through this sounds like fun. Nate 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 not sure if this would warrant a thread but here's an early track list of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith I got from Wikipedia in which they source Gamepro Magazine: "All the Young Dudes" Mott the Hoople "Dream Police" Cheap Trick "Make It" Aerosmith "Uncle Salty" Aerosmith "Draw the Line" Aerosmith "I Hate Myself for Loving You" Joan Jett "All Day and All of the Night" The Kinks "Movin' Out" Aerosmith "No Surprize" Aerosmith "Sweet Emotion" Aerosmith "Complete Control" The Clash "Personality Crisis" New York Dolls "Livin' on the Edge" Aerosmith "Rag Doll" Aerosmith "Love in an Elevator" Aerosmith "Kings and Queens" Aerosmith "Mama Kin" Aerosmith "Walk This Way" Aerosmith "Dream On" Aerosmith and according to the same source there will be tracks from Stone Temple Pilots, White Stripes, Lenny Kravitz, Black Crowes, and Deep Purple, basically the game will be 60 percent Aerosmith songs and 40 songs of bands and artists that were influenced by them
dubq 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 The Kinks were influenced by Aerosmith? That said, I'd get this just to be able to play a Black Crowes song.. Having said that, I really hope we get a GH: Led Zeppelin one day..
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 I'm pretty sure you need three guitarists to play one Zeppelin song.

NYU 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Where is Janie's Got a Gun? Probably my second favorite Aerosmith song behind Dream On.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 I'm sure they'll include all of Aerosmith's singles. From what I have read, the game will follow the band's rise to stardom, beginning from their first gig till present time. Songs will apparently appear in chronological order, which means that instead of cursing the final tier of songs for their difficulty, we'll curse them for being so shitty in comparison to earlier tracks. Also, each set will be structured as such: Song 1- Other band Song 2- Other band Song 3- Aerosmith Song 4- Aerosmith Encore- Aerosmith
Nate 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 some good news for Guitar Hero 3 DLC, they will be adding a 3 song pack from Def Leppard, the songs are Photograph, Animal and their new single with Tim McGraw called Nine Lives from their upcoming album, here's an article about it: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/puzzle/gui...tml?sid=6189118

TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I hate the concept of GH:A, but I'll probably get it anyway just for the sake of new songs. Of course, I need a new guitar first.

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 And have a fraction of the amount of hit songs.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 And have a fraction of the amount of hit songs. But there are better songs to play, and more challenging. Breaking the Law, Victim of Changes, Beyond the Realms of Death, The Hellion/Electric Eye, Painkiller. (This would be a sweet song to play on Rock Band)
Thoth 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2008 Well, the Guitar Hero drums have been revealed. They have 5 drums to hit, as opposed to Rock Band's 4. Which means the drums are incompatible. *waves a finger around in the air*
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Yeah, a ton of shit has been confirmed: - Vocals and drums included - Create a player - Players will be able to create their own songs, sans vocals, and upload 5 at a time for sharing. The drums do have 5 pieces, with the cymbals being blue and orange, but there is a bass pedal as well:
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Oh, I almost forgot... ATTN: AGENT OF OBLIVION- I finally fucking did it! A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 I wish they raise up the left side of the kit to allow for closed hand drumming. This is the main gripe I hear from drummers that I know. It still looks pretty cool, though.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Report post Posted May 17, 2008 I'm impressed. Haven't played the game in at least a month or two. I'll have to take another crack at it this weekend.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Maybe you'll have the same luck I did, and beat the song after a layoff. I think it relieved alot of the pressure. That, and I had just smoked some good weed.
luke-o 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2008 Does anyone else find it annoying to play GH with people who can't? The you play and do really well, only to feel like a dick because you're the only person in the room good at it?
