Tuesdays are a strange day to hold a draft. Then again, I never paid much attention to them until this year, for obvious reasons.

I am hoping that Fran Vazquez falls enough for phoenix to scoop him. After his shitty workouts, he has fell out of the first round on most mock drafts.

Agreed, without Sir Charles making fun of Craig Sager it does lack a little bit.

The Jazz officially have the #3 pick now, and it sounds like they gave up #6 & #27 and a future first round pick. I'm glad they didn't have to give up Kirk Snyder like it was rumored last night.

I love Chris Paul, but I think Deron Williams is better in Utah's half-court offense. Its amazing how this trade doesn't happen if both Milwaukee & Portland don't leap-frog the Jazz, but I would rather them make the trade because neither would have been there at #6 overall.

Anybody think that Atlanta should take Deron Williams or Chris Paul? Since they would have to get Josh Smith, Al Harrington, & Josh Childress into the lineup with Marvin Williams too.

I understand not wanting to miss out on the "next big thing", but when coaches have average tenures of 2 years and GM about 4 years I sometimes you have to figure out what can make your team better now. But then again coaches are getting fired even after they take teams to the playoffs too.

Yeah, I'd have considered trading down a spot or two if I was ATL, because Deron is definitely a better immediate fit than Marvin. If they get Marvin they'll need to trade Childress or Josh Smith for a PG post haste....I hear Jason Williams is available....Dan Dickau is a free agent....or maybe overspend a bit on a guy like Antonio Daniels. I think it's a moot point though, because my gut says Milwaukee feels the pressure and takes Marvin Williams.

If I were Utah I don't know who I'd pick. Probably Deron, but you can't go wrong with either PG.

I'm psyched for this draft, so much depth and so many guys who could go almost anywhere in the first round. This is gonna be a good one. CHANNING FRYE HERE WE COME! :D

I'd be really excited for the Lakers to take Sean May, but hey Kupchak said that he wasn't looking for an impact player with the 10th pick, and seeing as how this draft is real deep with guards, they'll probably look for help in the backcourt rather than up front.

Well... thanks a lot ESPN for making this the most predictable #1 first-round pick ever.

Not watching, but I'm assuming they mentioned that this is the first time that the NBA and NFL top picks have been from the same school in the same year.

I'm not sure if they did. Is that really true?

No surprises yet.....

I'm a little late, I kind of spaced on the starting time (7 Eastern is 6 Indiana from April-October). The draft post is updated.

Who does Toronto go with Granger, Vanquez, I'll throw in Antoine Wright since Dick is having an orgasm about him?

They took a center last year, so I assume they'll go with a 2 or 3 guy.

So here's where the Knicks take Channing Frye. If they don't, I'd like to see L.A. take him or May. Bynum is also a big possibility, since he was projected to go to one of these other teams, and I remember him being rumored to be taken if he was available.
