Smackdown VS Raw 2006

Recommended Posts

I'm sure the entire point of it then is for you to use a second controller, and do every single one of the challenges...without a challenge.

The "challenge" is unlocking stuff. So why get stuck on something hindering you from unlocking whatever it may be.

There's no need to try that challenge a million times if you can't beat it, when all you have to do is pick up another controller to get that 1 challenge, all for the sole purpose of unlocking that trophy or whatever. I'm not saying just go through each and every challenge, not actually playing them (because some of them were pretty fun) but there's no reason you should have to constantly try one if you aren't able to do it the first few tries.

It took me 35 minutes earlier to beat the WM13 rematch challenge. I had Stone Cold all red and he had me all red, but I just could not get him to give up. Finally he got me in a Millon $ Dream that I would have surely given up in had I not been fortunate enough to land the bar in the reverse zone and turn it into a sleeper, which finally made the bastard tap.

DH...using Hogan as your opponent isn't good strategy.

I'm assuming that Challenge is on the 1st section, which can be beaten on Easy. If you're on Easy, change it. Easier on Normal, BION. Some of the challenges are pretty impossible on Easy...like the reverse 10 strikes one, where you're lucky if the opponent throws 10 strikes. Choose someone with a less powerful finisher than Hogan, for starters. A submission finisher guy like Benoit would be a good bet. Or, try one of the Cruiserweights. Set them to "Fight Clean" and let them build their momentum with some dives (if you're lucky). If they hit the finishers early in the match, you stand more chance of kicking out from them.

Can you change any of the options like DQ, countout, etc... or does everything need to be on default?

In my matches with Hogan, I've finished a ton of the challenges, like counter ten strikes and counter ten grapples.

Can someone help me with the following challenges?

1.) Possum pin, I can't seem to do it, and I've tried about 800 times. I always lose a special, but never do the pin. What am I do wrong?

2.) Spanking one in FYF. Goddamn right analog stick...it'd be so much easier if you just had to hit X in the meter ala the chop system from last year...

3.) Reverse the casket door. This is just plain impossible for me. I even tried two controllers, still no luck. Do you have to "tap" R2 like it says, or just hit it in the meter?

1) It's the luck of the draw. I just kept pressing the button combo over and over and it eventually happened.

2) This one took me about 7 matches to get it right. The only thing I can say is, make sure press down on the R-Stick before the top of the hand leaves the marked area on the meter. *shrug*

3) This one was easy. When they say tap, they mean press R2 in the marked area on the meter when the ball drops. I got this one on the first try. =\

Yes, that is the entire point in gaming.

Just try a few times, and then cheat if you can't get it done. :P

Like a great man once said...

"If you're not cheating, you're not trying."

Ummm yea...this isn't exactly Final Fantasy, or some RPG or something. It's SD. Its nothing horrible to "cheat" just to skip a few challenges.

I could see you making them arguement if I said I used like 4 mission skip cheats in a row on GTA or something.

Well whatever works for you, I didn't mean to sound like an ass or anything. I just can't get anything from just cheating to complete something in a game, not even in a game like this one. Heck, especially in a game like this one, since I like wrestling so much and I feel like I've accomplished something when I do it myself.

But wrestling is all about cheating!

"Win if you can, lose if you must, but ALWAYS cheat!"

Okay I have tried 'Throw 10 Opponents' four times and I still have not cleared it

the first time I had the setting on Normal, which hasn't factored into any of the other challenges being complete. But then I put it on easy and using Andre picked people over my head and tossed/thrown them. Then I did it today, using a combination of throwing and eliminating (throwing them over the rope then pressing buttons until they fall) I put my entry number low, numbers 7 thru 11, I tried losing the rumble and the challenge still wont clear.

Any help?

Do a 15 person over the top rope rumble with you as Andre and the heaviest person in the ring being HBK. You should be able to get atleast 13 by yourself.

Well, the preset movelists are the same, so I guess this is relevant.

I know that Speedy is basically Grandmaster Sexay's ML, so does anybody have an idea as to what the other four are (Average, Roughneck, Powerful, and Technical)?

It has to be a 30 man rumble..

Ok I have a couple ideas as to why im not winning the challenge

1. I cant use the same guy - illogical but im done using Andre

2. Throwing people means picking them up and tossing them over your head and out of the ring..any other way i.e: knocking them outside of the ring or you and another person taking one man out does not count

I put myself in 3rd and the last 6 were all eliminated by me. They would run down to the ring, then get kicked by me, picked up and tossed out.

I've posted this twice before, I think, but I'm telling you - these are the exact requirements that *I* accomplished to finish the challenge:

a. 30-Man Rumble

b. Eliminate 10+ guys, on your own, or with CPU help - it doesnt matter how they're eliminated, as long as your character is involved in the elimination process

c. WIN the rumble with the same character you started with

I've done this at least three times (two repeats) with Big Show.

What number entry were you? Maybe this is my problem

I did it with Andre in a 15 person rumble.

I faced, London, HBK, Chavo, Scotty, Shelton, Flair, RVD, Rey, Tajiri, Spike, Daivari, Hurricane, Carlito, and Haas.

I personally threw out all but Haas, and won the damn thing in 5 mins.

Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that Tajiri's Green Mist is only a Dirty grapple instead of part of his regular moveset like in previous games, especially since he does the Green Mist as a face or heel anyway?

On a related note, I don't like how Yukes made a category of movesets instead of just allowing me to assign whatever combination of moves I want for certain wrestlers like in previous games.

Well you couldn't do it in previous games either. (at least not SDvsRAW) as you still only had a certain number of "strong", "Submission" etc.

Yeah, but the categories in this year's game made the movesets even more limited.

I rented this a couple days ago, and I've been loving it so far.

Sorry if this' been discussed/asked, but how's it compare to other PS2 games, SD: Here Comes the Pain in particular?
