USC Wuz Robbed! Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Regardless, if Vader's in this game, I'm picking it up just so I can have him stiff the shit out of Cena and Carlito.
Team Angle Pusher Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Sweet trailer. It's the old The Rock and I like that a lot. Vader is coming, just watch. Did anybody see Theodore Long get driven over? Oh and Eddie Guerrero is wrestler of the day.
Use Your Illusion Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Those character models look absolutely stunning in that trailer, particularly Hogan and Batista. The hit-and-run on Teddy Long was a little graphic.
Aero Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Which Hogan is in the game? Current look or classic look?
Use Your Illusion Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Yeah, it's classic Hogan. Looks to be a model from around 1991ish.
Rendclaw Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 If Vader is a Legend, I just might go against what I said previously and buy it outright.
PsychoDriver Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Catching up on the wrestlers of the day: Eddie: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/654/654948p1.html Tajiri: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/655/655268p1.html
Team Angle Pusher Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I want to see JBL and Hassan dammit, who gives a rats ass about Tajiri.
Silence Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I want to see JBL and Hassan dammit, who gives a rats ass about Tajiri. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IGN's getting some of the least important wrestlers/divas out of the way first (except Taker, who's a big name, and he was the first WOTD), then they'll go on to the more popular wrestlers. Although Tajiri > Hassan and JBL in the ring.
dubq Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I am going to make a stereotype tag team out of Hassan & JBL. They'll constantly be plotting oil rig takeovers and taunting the American citizens at every turn.
Guest Zarock Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I want to see Carlito just to watch him do lots of moves he's never done.
Silence Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I want to see Carlito just to watch him do lots of moves he's never done. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you see him doing a delayed pendulum backbreaker to Shelton Benjamin in the SVR 2006 trailer?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 No, fun actually. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No I'm pretty sure it's lame. Yep, having a fired guy in an updated game is lame.
Guest Zarock Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I want to see Carlito just to watch him do lots of moves he's never done. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you see him doing a delayed pendulum backbreaker to Shelton Benjamin in the SVR 2006 trailer? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's amazing how Carlito has desensitived me enough to where if he does something horribly basic, like a dropkick, I act like he just did a Arabian facecrusher on somebody. Off a cage. Watching him do his little Downward Spiral-type move or a neckbreaker is like seeing the face of God smiling.

I agree completely.
PsychoDriver Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 New IGN article on the CAW and Create a belt: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/655/655272p1.html

Yep, having a fired guy in an updated game is lame. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cry me a river, Porter, there are tons of fired guys in this game. Not to mention wrestlers who aren't even active in the Fed anymore ["legends"]. Get over it.

El Psycho Diablo Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 The CAW had better be more advanced that SDvRaw's. Hell, the one in HCTP was better.
Silence Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 The CAW had better be more advanced that SDvRaw's. Hell, the one in HCTP was better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really hope the face models aren't one of those "never-to-be-seen-again" features in the Smackdown series much like roster editing most likely is because of those damn voiceovers. Edit: I just looked at the link for the CAW page on IGN and it looks there aren't any different face models like in SYM and HCTP, for now. There are only 7 face types, so I would think there won't be anything different-looking with the faces except for scars, etc. once again like on SVR.

I'm glad for the differing face models this time, because the default SvR one looked like an ape. Seriously.
Team Angle Pusher Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Create a title belt looks fucking awesome.
Jericholic82 Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 wonder if theres any chance they will change eddies and/or reys music to their new ones. probably not (though I liked eddies heel remix of his lie cheat steal theme) with the 5 voices for your CAW, it remidns me of WWF Attitude where you could use some premade voices or actual superstars voices for your caws
2GOLD Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Are the legends going to have their actual entrances complete with themes? Cause if you give me a Vader with his music, I'll shell out 50 bucks.
Jericholic82 Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 why does Sylvain have rene duprees video? the cutscenes look pretty cool, HHH's voiceovers sound incredibly dull-HOW LIFELIKE
Silence Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 why does Sylvain have rene duprees video?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Once again, my crutch word for Yukes comes into play: Laziness. At the rate Yukes is going, SVR 2006 is going to have a data-erasing glitch that rivals No Mercy's on the N64, or the freezing glitch on WM 21 for the X-Box. I hope I'm wrong, because so far, all I've noticed is lazy programming and audio glitches ("Introducing, introducing....").
Guest Zarock Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Paul London's the WotD, and guess what his finishers are?
