King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2005 I fixed some awkward spacing in the tag match involving moi, incase you wondering why it said it was edited by me. Also...damn, that battle royal looks really long. Even with the rushed ending. It's a lot more story orientated and sports entertainmenty than anything I've wrote here before, because obviously it's a battle royal. I wrote a 9 Man once and that was pretty 'normal'...but with 16, I got so lost about halfway through I had to dig out some old Hasbro figures to use as guides. Hoff will be happy to know he was Doink.
Adam 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2005 Loved the Battle Royal, really, really good job there by KC. Great job by Hoff on that tag match in such short notice, props to you. I skimmed the rest, but the underlying theme became that the partners didnt get along, but found some way to win and advance. TEH WINN0R had me marking out too. Great show guys! Hoff 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2005 Oh....oh dear...I haven't finished reading yet but I had to say: You've got Hoff with his secksy goatee, and his little H on his boots, little H on his kneepads, H on his ass...and usually, when you've got that many H H Hs, you're a shoe-in to win... I love you, KC.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2005 I've skimmed everything, but I did read the Battle Royal and it was pretty damn good. I liked the battle lines being drawn in the middle...made for a cool visual. A lot of cool moments actually, and it told a good story. So props to KC. And w00t to me then. Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2005 I apologise for not writing a proper match...but most of the others weren't much longer anyway. Still, a fun little show, and KC did a great job in the main event.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 Fourth eliminated? Booo-urns. Poor Killings. Still hasn't learned a lick after a few months. I enjoyed most of the tag matches, but it was the battle royal that was the kicker for this one. Well done KC, but FOURTH?! And of course Hoff the Lazy Bastard only tossed two guys and still won. The Axel-Batista match was a fun little thing. Breaking Batista's thumb to make him powerless got a chuckle.
Adam 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 Well that was the aim, just a fun inoffensive match that could give everyone a break from the tags. I liked Drek's role in the Battle Royal very much, and it was good to see Rodez put in such a good showing and being eliminated last.
NYU 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 Excellent battle royal. I know how difficult it is to write a match where so many guys are interacting at the same time, but KC handled it perfectly. Everyone was focused on at different points in the match, and the different side-stories going on through the whole thing really made it interesting. Although....was it just a coincidence that Leon Rodez wound up making it to the Final 2 of the Battle Royal? AND eliminated Drek Stone? I call shenanigans on that. Either way, the match was just extremely well done.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 I was glad (and I know you're not ACTUALLY calling shenanigans, I'm just commenting). Hoff vs. Drek would have seemed contrived, a little too coincidental. Hoff vs. Leon is fresh and intriguing.
Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 Good work everyone, I wish I had gone farther, but so be it
Ed Wood Caulfield 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 Great show. Obviously, I liked the fact that PRL made it to the Battlebowl, and I liked how that there was a moment in the match where everyone was waiting to see which side PRL went on. We should make Battlebowl an annual event. It could be our version of King Of The Ring.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 - Hot little match with Alf bringing out THE HAM~! Good action with a couple neat false finishes. I liked it. - Leon's promo was great. I mean, flat-out. I liked how he was able to make this serious statement and still be himself, still be funny. Really strong stuff. - Good match...I like how Scotty took out his own partner to get his move off. Battlebowl = chaos. - Brock and PRL vs. Otaku and Tim Livingston was all right...I dunno, wasn't feeling it too much, but it wasn't offensive or anything. - Drek and Black would be an interesting team if they could get along. AWESOME with Drek's entrance speech for Dan and then the brawl. This was the best way for this to end. I like. - Next match was really good...the Crystal jokes were entertaining. But Crystal and Gunner on opposite sides was handled well, and the finish was a crowd pleaser. Good stuff. I wrote ALL of the next three matches myself, so I hope they were okay. - Axel vs. Batista -- I knew the direction Adam was gonna go, but this was actually a very entertaining power match. Cute at the end with the spinebusters, and then the thumbs. Good read. - teh Battle Royal -- ...I hate that @#$% song. Anyway...great match. The old vs. young story was prevalent throughout, and there were some other cool moments as well. The "assisted Pollycutter" was awesome. The battle line being drawn at ten was such a cool visual....I mean really, I fucking loved it. CWM's elimination was really cool. Drek's MIND CONTROL on Gunner was neat. Shining Wizard by Leon, off of Hoff, to Gunner...incredible, I wouldn;t have thought of that spot in a million years. The whole ending from the final four on was just mind-blowingly hot, well done, and I loved it. So much proppage indeed to KC for a job well done. So yeah, all in all, an awesome show. Tony149 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 Great show. The lottery was handled very well throughout the night. Very enjoyable opening match. Excellent Leon Rodez promo. Some great one-liners in there. Blurred between serious and comedic very well. "A tag partner that's so insignificant, I asked someone what his name was the other day, and all they could say 'Oh, he's just Some Guy'. Well he's going to have to be SOME Guy to win tonight..." Don't know about you, but I so heard Jim Cornette's voice when reading that. Too bad I didn't skim the show to find out Simon and Logan, two rivals, teamed together or I would have mentioned it on HD. Good match. Tim Livingston/Otaku vs. PR/Brock was solid. Liked what Eski did with the Stone/Black-Brannigan match. Skimmed everything else, and it all looked very solid. Axel vs. Batista was better than I thought it would be. The thumb bit was funny. Plan on reading the battle royal later. Excellent job in advance.
