Firstly, on Velocity:

SPOILER

*Balls and Axl defeated the Shane Twins.

*Simon Dean beat local indy wrestler Mike Kruel(?) in a short match that featured Dean using the Curb Stomp.

*Frankie Kazarian beat Nunzio with a Fisherman's Suplex, and gets on the stick! Says his catchphrase and leaves. I was inexplicably seated next to the biggest Kazarian fan on the planet.

*Muhammad Hassan cut a promo and referred to the NY Post article.

*William Regal and Chris Benoit come out and proceed to rock the fucking house with the match of the night...tons of matwork, hardway juice from a headbutt, and even a Dragon Suplex. Benoit won with the Crossface.

Then Smackdown:

SPOILER

*Eddy teases revealing Rey's secret, but his wife and kids intervene. This sets up a confrontation with Hardcore Holly and a match later in the night, which Eddy wins via hitting Holly's knee with a lead pipe and applying the Texas Cloverleaf for the tapout.

*Mexicools vs. London/Scotty/Funaki was a spotfest. Juvi looked to injure London on the 450 Splash, but London walked out under his own power after a while.

*Melina vs. Torrie in a Bra and Panties match set for GAB.

*MNM beat on Heidenreich until ANIMAL makes the save, and sets up MNM vs. Animal/Heidenreich for the tag titles at GAB.

*Hassan's "lawyer" comes out and says Hassan will not appear on Smackdown until after he beats Taker at the Bash. Taker comes in, chokslam, tombstone, Taker leaves. The beatdown took 30 seconds. The entrance and exit took five million years.

*Christian ambushed Booker T. before their match, threw him into the steps a bunch of times, then made the ref ring the bell and pinned him with the Unprettier. Rematch set for GAB.

*Rundown of the GAB card. Add to the above O.J. vs. Benoit for the U.S. title.

*JBL cuts a promo talking about Batista embarrassing him by costing him the meatch with Meanie last week. Points out that he beat everyone in the locker room as WWE Champ while Batista defended the belt three times in a row against the same guy. Promises to take the title from Batista, etc., etc.

*Batista beat Orlando Jordan after loads of interference from JBL. After the match, JBL lays out Batista and stands over him with the belt. The show will most likely end here.

*HHH's music hits, and they take turns beating on Batista until Cena comes in to a HUUUUGE pop, and the special main event is Batista/Cena vs. JBL/HHH. Lots of rest holds, HHH works in his "spaced out for five minutes after coming off the top and meeting boot" comedy spot. JBL throws water in his face to revive him, HHH gives the thumbs up sign and proceeds to do the Flair Flop. Cena ends up pinning JBL after an F-U.

Biggest pops:

Cena

Taker

T-Shirt Gun Guy

Animal

Biggest heat:

Hassan

JBL

Eddy

Hassan's "lawyer"

Benoit/Regal? Pillman 2000 V. 2.0? Mid-nineties WCW stiffness? OH. MY. GOD. I am so there.

Do they edit the Velocity main events much? I want this match in its entirity.

Eddie vs Hardcore sounds interesting as well.

I can't wait to see Benoit-Regal, but seriously.. Velocity? Mexicools vs. Cruiserweight Division sounds good, and the rest not so much. I really do hate getting JBL opponent at the next PPV vs. Orlando Jordan main events leading up to each PPV.

Seriously, do Heidenreich & Animal have a chance at winning the titles? I can see MNM losing at the PPV and then having them win the belts back at the next SD.

Okay, yeah. Somebody HAS to record this! Please?

FUCK! I miss the Laso from El Paso.

*Mexicools vs. London/Scotty/Funaki was a spotfest. Juvi looked to injure London on the 450 Splash, but London walked out under his own power after a while.

Sounds sweet!

*Melina vs. Torrie in a Bra and Panties match set for GAB.

*groans

*MNM beat on Heidenreich until ANIMAL makes the save, and sets up MNM vs. Animal/Heidenreich for the tag titles at GAB.

While I'll mark out for Animal, so much for Eugene being Heidenreich's friend.

*Christian ambushed Booker T. before their match, threw him into the steps a bunch of times, then made the ref ring the bell and pinned him with the Unprettier. Rematch set for GAB.

One of the worst feuds ever continues...

*JBL cuts a promo talking about Batista embarrassing him by costing him the meatch with Meanie last week. Points out that he beat everyone in the locker room as WWE Champ while Batista defended the belt three times in a row against the same guy.

Granted, that wasn't Batista's fault, but thats a nice cheapshot nontheless.

For once, SD sounds GOOD though! I'll check it out.

over 10 minutes

Okay, yeah. Somebody HAS to record this! Please?

I'll be taping it for sure. Have to add it on to my collection of Benoit vs Regal matches.

Funny, I thought Stevie said "Now that the bWo is officially Smackdown" and Meanie said he was supposed to be at SD this week.

And nothing.

That makes up for two weeks without any matches at all, doesn't it?

Nice to see Kazarian in as a competitor and not a jobber.

I hope the bWo actually does return permanently. Hell, they can feel free to keep Simon Dean going at the same time as he's Nova for all I care.

Benoit-Regal went 10-15 minutes too. Longest match of the night

Regal was busted pretty good too.

You were there at the arena? How'd you like the match?

So now I gotta watch Velocity to see Hassan? Fuck you, UPN.

I dont even think Hassan was on Velocity, I think it was just for the crowd. I could be wrong

I really liked it a lot, A lot of stiff shots from the both of them. No Rolling Germans or Head BUTT but Regal got to the ropes during a Sharpshooter. Crowd wasn't really into it but my friend and I really enjoyed it. I wish they shook hands at the end.

What is Regal anyway? Face...Heel...Tweener?

Thanks for that. All the reports from the match are coming in as very positive. It looks like we're going to be in for a fun ride on Saturday.

No rolling germans or headbutt? Interesting. And a dragon suplex to boot which is Benoit's first since neck surgery.

FULL SMACKDOWN SPOILERS

by Rick @ 12:45:00 AM on 7/13/2005

Thanks to Rick for the following:

Here are the results from tonight's Velocity and Smackdown tapings in Worcester, MA

Velocity/Dark Matches:

- Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney defeated The Shane Twins. ECW!

- Simon Dean (yep, not Nova, Simon Dean) defeated Mike Kruel.

- Frankie Kazarian defeated Nunzio with a Perfectplex.

- Muhammad Hassan cut a promo. I went to the bathroom (figured you all were dying to know that).

- Chris Benoit defeated William Regal with the Crippler Crossface. Set your Tivo people, this was fantastic. This match should be on PPV, not a show hardly anyone watches.

Smackdown results:

These may be out of order, I apologize in advance.

- Eddie Guerrero teased revealing Rey Mysterio's secret, but ends up in a confrontation with Hardcore Holly.

- Super Crazy, Psicosis & Juventud defeated Paul London, Scotty 2 Hotty, and Funaki in a six-man. I guess Benoit and Regal were on Velocity because all the Cruiserweights that are left were here.

- MNM beat up on Heidenreich until, get this ... ROAD WARRIOR ANIMAL makes the save.

- Eddie Guerrero defeats Hardcore Holly with a Lasso From El Paso after hitting Holly in the leg with a pipe.

- Christian beat up Booker T before they could have a match, ramming him into the steps over and over. He then made the ref count a pin anyway.

- They do a bit where a lawyer, representing Muhammad Hassan, says Hassan won't be on TV until he beats Undertaker at the Great American Bash. Taker comes out to a monster pop and destroys him.

- JBL ranted and raved about being a better champion than Batista, promised to take the belt at the Bash, and so on and so on....

- Batista defeated Orlando Jordan (no titles on the line). After the match, JBL laid out Batista and stood over him with the belt.

- Triple H came out and joined JBL in beating on Batista until John Cena came out for the dark match main event, which ended with Cena pinning JBL.

Announced for the Great American Bash:

- Melina vs. Torrie in a Bra & Panties match.

- MNM defending the tag titles against Heidenreich & Road Warrior Animal.

- Christian vs. Booker T.

- Orlando Jordan defending the U.S. Title against Chris Benoit.

- Undertaker vs. Muhammad Hassan.

- World Champion Batista vs. JBL.
