The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 I heard a guy on the radio who covers the Marlins for the Miami Herald, and he's convinced that because they fired Torborg in 2003 and then went on to win the World Series, that this will have the same effect. He also noted that it appears that most of the players aren't really listening to McKeon anymore because he can be abrasive and hurt the player's feelings. AWWWWWWWWWWW I figure McKeon will probably retire at the end of this year anyway. Let him finish the season, it's the least you can do.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 McKeon seems like he just sits on the bench, and doesn't do anything.
the max 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 The guy also said that Jack was going to be gone after the ASB, before the second half started, so they could see whether or not it was Jack or just underacheiving players.

Mik 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 I'm all for getting Jack and his grandfather club out of the dugout. He is something like 76 and his bench coach is 75. That's just insane. Girardi is 40 something and would be a great fit for manager, I think. I really think the team is way better than they have been performing and if they don't make major changes soon, this season is lost. 2006 and beyond keeps looking better and better but they can also contend now. And I kinda like the Baltimore deal, although it will kind of be weird to see Mike Lowell on another team - even though I know deep down it has to happen.
