Eddie Guererro

Recommended Posts

Don't know if this really deserves it's own topic as it's nothing big..but just something I noticed, well I'm sure everyone's noticed. Needless to say, this evening, I watched Summerslam 2000. (Eddie Guererro & Chyna vs Val Venis & Trish)

And right now, I'm watching Smackdown..and all I can say is, HOLY SHIT...I want what he's having. So the question is, seriously, is it just a case of hard work..and a good work out..because I mean, in the time between now and..well 2000, I'm sure he's been to the gym enough times to be that big on his own, just from workouts. But then, it's also hard to believe that he's that big, because I mean..for his height, he's at like Scott Steiner levels it seems, without any kind of 'enhancement'.

Whatever the deal, the guy is huge now, and looks to be getting the 'Batista veins', whether that's a good thing or bad thing I don't know, but just something I wanted to bring up.

99% chance It's a combination of hard work and roids. Probably growth hormone as well.

Benjamin and RVD appear to be the most natural bodied.

CM PUNK?

Other then that, i would say everyone is on some form of roids.

Carlito, Paul London, and Chris Jericho don't even remotely look like they're on roids.

Technically, for anyone to look good, it has to be a combo of roids and hard work. 'Roids build mass, not muscle. You still have to exercise, or you just look bulky, and not muscular.

That being said, Eddie's been having a rather nasty case of acne on his back lately.

Are steroids not used to allow someone to go on for longer? (during their workout).

And yeh, he's looked somewhat unnatural for a while, he's got bulging muscles that don't go with his body type/height.

Does anyone else have a bad feeling that Eddie might die somewhere in his 40's like a few other roided wrestlers because of his increased roid use as of late?

shaving off body hair will also cause back acne. not saying Eddy isn't on the stuff, cause, yeah...he is, but someone having bumps on their back isn't the sure sign that people make it out to be.

Yeah, it looks like a definite case of roids to me re Eddie between the exaggerated muscles and bacne. I am concerned about his health down the line. Certainly, if he's doing this thinking that this is the only way he'll stay in main event territory, then it isn't worth it. And, yes, his look circa the PPV mentioned (SSlam 2000) was way more natural - and more appealling to this female fan - for his height. These days, he is so ripped all over that he barely has a waist anymore and appears shorter than he is - sort of like a human fire hydrant.

Another concern I have with how unnaturally big Eddie has gotten is the possibility of torn muscles, something he is no stranger to. It hasn't effected his performance in ring, but in the last month or so he really looks to have piled on some extra meat.

Look at the way he grabbed at his family!

ROID RAGE! ROID RAGE! ROID RAGE!

Seriously,

I'm with the sentiment that I hope he's taking his long term health into consideration when he's juicing up. :(

Most everyone is on roids in WWE.

You don't look super ripped without using something, that's why you didn't see guys with those physiques back in the 1950s.

On the Benoit DVD Todd whateverhisname is asks Benoit why he's so much bigger nowerdays than he was during his time in Japan.

A *very* awkward silence follows.

Before he saves himself with "Well, that's what working out for ten years will do to do."

Hilarious.

Bodybuilders weren't "super ripped" in the 1950's because it wasn't popularized by Vince Gironda until the 60's. Bodybuilders were far more closely tied with strongmen in those times, and reducing your body fat to single digits served no athletic purpose. Viens and striations were seen as freakish back then and took time away from bulking. Steroids get far too much credit. I'm sure many wrestlers take them, but it's more for the purpose of maintaining their physiques while dealing with injuries, lack of rest and time. Almost any healthy person can build a drug free massive, ripped physique rivaling the best built WWE guys.

I always worry every time someone monkey flips Eddie into the ropes because that's how he tore his hamstring in a match against Jericho back in 2000, and Eddie didn't even look like he was on roids back then. Just imagine how many more injuries he could have now because of his freakish size lately.
