Gary Floyd Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 Anyone remember the pivitol (re. laughably bad) album "Hilk Rules" Want to relive your memories, or are you just a sado-masochist? Either way, I've found a website were you can download the enitire album http://www.hulkhogan.co.uk/bootband.htm
Only The Strong Survive Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 I own the CD <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sorry.
Dobbs 3K Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 I had a friend in high school who's brother got him that CD, knowing he was a huge wrestling fan. He wasn't exactly proud to own it.
Guest Hass of Pain Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Wrestling Boot Traveling Band actually isn't that bad of a song and is kind of reminiscent of classic stuff from The Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffett. Jimmy Hart's voice isn't half bad in this song and this song only.
Boner Kawanger Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 I'm really disappointed that Hogan isn't using this as a blueprint for Brooke's success. I keep waiting for him to tell her producer "Well, you know something brother, back in 80s* when I was on top of the media world*, I decided I was tired of pressing Andre the Giant*, God rest his giant soul, man! I wanted to put out a CD, the best CD money could buy*! So I said to my main dude Jimmy Hart, let's do this! And my CD, Hulk Hogan and the Wrestling Boot Band, man, it was on top of all the charts*!" *Hulkster Revisionist History
Dobbs 3K Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 The thing is, he probably _should_ have released that album in the '80s...at the height of Hulkamania, it just might have cracked the charts, regardless of any musical merit, or lack there of. However, by 1995, Hogan wasn't exactly a mainstream attraction anymore. He wasn't exactly lighting up WCW at that point either.

However, as much of a "Real American" rip-off that it is, I can't help liking "American Made".
Guest TheGreatWesuke Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 I remember this coming out way back in the glory days of RSPW and some guy commenting: "For fuck sakes, why sing about wanting to BE a Hulkamaniac? Just fucking be one! You don't have to take a test or join a club or anything." I dunno why, but I still think about that sometimes and it cracks me up.
JMFabiano524 Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Not sure if this is old news, but go to sydlexia.com...the main page includes a review of said album. But here's the truly cool part...it includes the LYRICS for all the songs.
