Bruiser Chong Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 Willis is not an ace. Don't be stupid. Wow, a great game against the REDS. You mean the Reds that lead the National League in team OPS and is second only to the Cards in runs scored, or another Reds team whose offense sucks? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Empty numbers."

The Reds are just STAT MONKEYS!"
Guest Smues Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 How's everyone's local minor league team doing as they go down the final stretch? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Spokane Indians as of this morning were tied for first place in their division....with a record of 20-26. The other two teams in the division are tied for 2nd with records of 19-27. Go Northwest League!
devo Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Columbus Clippers are 65-52, five behind Toledo. I'm afraid I know very little about the team. I'd go to more games if the stadium wasn't a complete shithole and in the worst part of town.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Since we're on the subject, the minor leagues have a month to go, and I highly recommend checking out a game while you all can. Tickets and concessions are cheaper, you can sit closer to the field, players are more accessable, and the game generally moves more quickly. I've been to nearly 30 games and only a handful lasted over three hours.
the max Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 All I have down here is A ball (Ft. Myers Miracle, the affiliate of the Twins). The Miracle are a game out of first behind Lakeland and Dunedin in the second half standings.
CanadianChris Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 The Ottawa Lynx are a game over .500 at 58-57. They're 5 back of Buffalo in the division, and 6 back of Indianapolis for the wild card. Kinda mirrors the season of the major league team I cheer for (Toronto).
