dubq Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 I live in Toronto and it seems like we're a test market for most kinds of junk. Mostly chocolate bars that I've noticed. Let's see... · Aero: Regular, Mint, Orange, Thick, Thick w/Caramel. · Kit-Kat: Regular, Dark, White, French Vanilla, Thick, Thick w/Peanut Butter and lately I've been seeing Stawberry, Banana & Orange varities. · Coffee Crisp: Regular, Dark, Latte [ie: white chocolate], French Vanilla, Mocca, Orange. Hell, even Smarties have about 5 different varieties of their stuff out right now. And it seems like most of them are successful because they never seem to disappear. Now if I only I'd get off my ass to get that filling replaced so I could actually try one of the above.
CanadianChris Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 I live in Ottawa and have seen most of those chocolate bars. I just saw the Banana Kitkat last week and nearly vomited.
Golgo 13 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Pepsi seems to like Denver. It seems they test a lot of their new soda here, including Crystal Pepsi, Josta (I think) and Storm. Coke's OK Soda was also tested here.
razazteca Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Not sure but I do remember seeing 4 different flavors of Mountain Dew, Pepsi w/Lime, Coke w/Lemon around town.
dubq Posted August 5, 2005 Author Report Posted August 5, 2005 I kept seeing commercials for... wait for it: "Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper" ...but could never find any of it in stores. They even had a song for it, heh.
tommytomlin Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Explain to me this 'thick Aero' business.
dubq Posted August 7, 2005 Author Report Posted August 7, 2005 Aero is a Canadian/British chocolate bar. As for the thick, or chunky. They're "thicker" in terms of "height" than the regular bars... but when you work it out, the bar is thinner width-wise, so it works out to be the same amount of chocolate, I bet. tekcop Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper's everywhere and it's popular as all hell around here. I'm still looking for the fruit flavored Kit-Kat's though.
Paul Stanley Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 I like the regular Vanilla Cherry Dr. Pepper, it's mostly in some select stores up north. All we got here is the diet kind.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 I live around Shittsburgh -- we don't get anything until 10 years after it's been released...
CanadianGuitarist Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 I like the regular Vanilla Cherry Dr. Pepper, it's mostly in some select stores up north. All we got here is the diet kind. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Vanilla Cherry? Together? Crazy.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 You really can't taste the vanilla or cheery, but for some reason I like it better than the regular diet Dr Pepper...
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Pepsi's HQ/factory is located in Denver, so that's why they test their shit out there. Hell isn't the arena there called the Pepsi Arena/Stadium/whatever?
Golgo 13 Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Not really. We merely have one of many regional bottling plants, and that arena would be the Pepsi Center.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Ah something new I learn today. Or at least something corrected...
Carnival Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 McDonalds likes to test in Lincoln. Just recently they built a "3-in-1 McDonalds" Where they have the regular fast food part, a special ice cream/ desert part, and a sit down restaurant area complete with waiters. Also a few years back they tested McDonalds spaghettii and McDonalds Pizza, i never tried them, i didn't live in lincoln at the time.
King Kamala Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 They don't test anything here in Maine, but they do have the New Hampshire and Maine only McLobster Roll!
dubq Posted August 12, 2005 Author Report Posted August 12, 2005 Spaghetti by McDonalds really scares me. I remember the pizza.. that was some gross shit. It was like they used ketchup for the tomato sauce. *gag*
