Open the Muggy Gate Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 This is EXTREMEEE! This may be old... but hell, it's still funny.
CBright7831 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Just when I forgot about that futuristic faggot Buzz Bunny, you had to remind me. Did that cartoon series ever come out?
Slayer Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Yeah, the announcement caused a huge furor... and then nothing happened
CBright7831 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Yeah, the announcement caused a huge furor... and then nothing happened <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe Warner Brothers saw the hugh backlash and decided to scrap the show. They seem to listen to alot of feedback from the fans and respond to it.
Slayer Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 I plugged "Loonatics" into Google and got the same old announcement articles from back in February, so no official announcement of canning the show. The same articles had the show premeiring for the new fall season, so we'll just have to wait and see
tekcop Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 I remember reading those articles when they where originally posted. As a cartoon mark, it pissed me off pretty badly. It still kind of stings now.
Skywarp! Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 I actually read a follow-up story. Some kid started a website, possibily saveourtoons.com or something like that... Anyway, this pre-teen kid started an online petition to stop Loonatics from ruining the classic characters. Enough people signed that the Kids' WB noticed and responded. Yes, an online petition actually did something. The aftermath of all of this is that Kids' WB is now classifying these characters as "new", and not a repackaging of the old Looney Tunes.
Special K Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Is that the video with all the quotes from sexy losers? If so, it's a good one.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted August 5, 2005 Author Report Posted August 5, 2005 And here's the sequel. Funny as hell as well.
Guest JMA Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 It was a good call to use lines from Sexy Losers. "YOU FUCK COWS IN RETROSPECT!"
Red Baron Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 This is what will happen if Paul Heyman just suddenly snap to the extreme.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 "You know, I've learned something. Animation shouldn't be about anime, or explosions, or..." **CHAINSAW REVS**
CBright7831 Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Enough people signed that the Kids' WB noticed and responded. Yes, an online petition actually did something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wouldn't be the first time WB has buckled under pressure. In 2000, fans started a petition asking Warner Brothers to release the uncut version of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and they finally did in early 02. I'm glad they did, as that movie was kick ass.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Indeed it was. Is Batman Beyond even still on? That show was a good little spin-off of Batman, IMO.
Guest JMA Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Indeed it was. Is Batman Beyond even still on? That show was a good little spin-off of Batman, IMO. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's not on any more. However, the lead character (Terry McGuiness/Batman) has appeared in several episode of Justice League Unlimited. The season finale of that show even featured an epilouge (that was even the name of the episode) to Batman Beyond.

You can read about the episode here.
Red Baron Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 Couldn't be more edgier by calling him F.M. The Retarded Rabbit?
