CanadianChris Posted August 12, 2005 Author Report Posted August 12, 2005 MLB.com has a clip of it. Sickening.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Just got back from the Pawtucket/Scranton game. Believe the Jon Papelbon hype.
DerangedHermit Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 I haven't seen the collision yet, but my scumbag local news actually teased the collision, showing the video in slow mo right before they collided, saying 'see what happened at 10'. So disgusting.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is it UPN 9 in New York? If so, that's not a surprise. They're always scummy like that.
King Kamala Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Just got back from the Pawtucket/Scranton game. Believe the Jon Papelbon hype. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I saw him in Double A at Portland, I went to this game with my dad and we were settling in our seats in the top of the first and all of a sudden Papelbon strikes out the side and we're like "Who the hell was that!?" I just wish Portland still had him for the Eastern League playoff race. Though it would be foolish for me to think all of the good prospects in Double A wouldn't be called up before the playoffs.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Move to Buffalo. They stock their team for the International League playoffs.
Fartsauce Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 The Jays are absolutely reaming the Orioles tonight. It's been said that Alexis Rios could be a superstar and he's been showing signs this past week. Don't be suprised if he's the AL player of the week.
mike546 Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Yanks and Rangers in another slugfest, hopefully the the bullpen beside Mo gets it done tonight.

EVIL~! alkeiper Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 And if I hadn't banned future frivolous steroid threads, I'd post that the Marlins' Delgado has violated the league's drug policy. Of course it's Wilson Delgado, but it's always fun to see Mik do a double-take.
Jericholic82 Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 wow the pen held tonight, too bad the red sox wont lose. You know if the sox werent scoring so many runs, theyd probably be losing right now. Their pitching is giving up like at least 5 runs a game. We havent heard too much about that cuz their offense is red hot. oh well, I guess I have to hope the angels lose tonight then the yanks would be only 2.5 back of the wildcard lead.
Fartsauce Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 The Jays are Bumblebee man? *Shakes head*
KingPK Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 You should have just ended the post with that first sentence to let Mik sweat it out more. The Rockies being Cletus fits perfectly.
Mik Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 No no, I already heard all about on the Marlin's fan forum. It's actually his 2nd steroid suspension this year - making it a 30 game suspension. But if I hadn't heard it and you posted it as such - yeah... you'd have gotten me.

the max Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Fun read... http://barstoolsports.com/article/The_Defi...alogy_List/344/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Diamondbacks one made me laugh out loud. I've always been a fan of the Inanimate Carbon Rod joke.

Bored Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 A's ownership unveiled plans for a new stadium in Oakland yesterday. The center field wall would be a hotel. Here are the model pictures:
The Czech Republic Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 That shit ain't Oakland. That's the bastard child of Pac Bell and the Skydome. You gotta have the immense foul territory!
Jericholic82 Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Moose throwing a gem right now. anyhow for all my fellow yanks fans I just saw at DDDVD, that next month they are releasing a dvd set of the yankees world series 1996-2001 and they have it for nearly half the prcie. Il probably pick it up (I have 96, 99, 00 vhs versions, am missing the 98 one) heres the link for anyone who cares http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=ANE072932 and that oakland stadium looks like it has an apartment complex in center field. but the roof top pool looks pretty cool.
the max Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Where would Oakland's new stadium be located? I noticed that they have something of a map in your second picture, but is that close to the current stadium?
The Czech Republic Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 I really think they should consider having the humongous foul ground again, sight lines be damned. The A's have like the best home field advantage in the AL or something, don't they? I'd try to replicate as many of the Oakland Coliseum's quirks as possible, and not doing the whole "a retro facade, with modern amenities!" trap.
Jericholic82 Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 I jinxed us. Oh cant wait for sportscenter "oh rivera is finsihed" why did they leave moose in the game in the 8th? I know they worry about the pen, but you cant overmanage like that. Btm of 9th coming up.
The Czech Republic Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Okay I can't stand that MLB on XM commercial anymore. I can see how it's so great it even brings Yankees and Red Sox fans together, and Giants and Dodgers fans...but where the hell do they pull Orioles-Angels from?? Is there some longstanding Los Angeles-Baltimore rivalry that I don't know about? Or do they just really want to market the Angels? I don't get it. Cubs-Cardinals. Obvious. You fucked up, commercial.

As for the Oakland Stadium, Mt. Davis ruined the Coliseum anyway, so anything else is an improvement.
The Czech Republic Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Well then, Nationals, obviously. Angels?!?
The Czech Republic Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH. Buck and McCarver are wearing pastel yellow shirts. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. I thought it was bad enough that Joe Buck was calling a Cards-Cubs game, and that McCarver was there, but man. AAAAAAAAAAHHHH.
Jericholic82 Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 (edited) Aaron small in relief? I guess we have seen the end of his starting career sicne wright is coming back. and that is kinda dumb considering small is 3-0 in 4 qulaity starts. come on, pull it out, this game is important. EDIT: Bernie homers! Thank you! Edited August 13, 2005 by Jericholic82
