Wrestler's Showing Up Drunk...

First, I recall on a summer 1998 Raw Hawk showed up "drunk" and tripped down the entrance ramp. Was this incident scripted? After this, they made it into an angle, which was obviously a work.

 

Also, can anyone recall any stories they heard about wrestlers showing up drunk or high to shows?

Shawn Michaels did more than one Raw promo during 1997 where he sounded like he was on something.

 

Jake Roberts at the HoW PPV in 1999 was beyond drunk.

I remember that Raw pretty well, I think his 'drunkenness' was actually a scripted dis-interest in the match.

He also once did some hilarious unwanted guest commentary that summer as well.

This was in the RATN newsletter that I just got yesterday.

 

Apparently, this was 7/23 in Lakeview, WA for a FTW show:

 

In another top match The Suicide Kings Matt Farmer & Chris Del Sol wrestled TNA's Naturals and this match didn't go very well. The Naturals yelled something at Del Sol about messing up. However more than one fan reported The Naturals were drinking the entire time between shows.

I watched Hardcore Hardcoming last night, and during the videos it was really apparent that a few of the wrestlers (such as Axl Rotten) were stoned out of their minds.

 

Fit in with my state of my mind at the time.

How could I forget that? That was funny as hell, especially when he groped his snake.
