Nice to see that the Red Sox just seem to be sleepwalking through these Tigers games so they can go get swept by Anaheim.

They aren't winning another game until the KC series next week.

I'll join in. Shouldn't of gone that far but there's a pretty HUGE difference between a guy on second or third and a 3-3 game. I think umps won't give the close one's to us for a couple more decades to make up for the Mayer incident.

Rivera looked great in the 10th. Now we just need to do what the sox did....

Proctor needs to climb back into his mothers vagina.

I don't question Torre much, but loading the bases with Proctor pitching, who first of all has never been able to pitch well in a big situation, and 2nd, cannot throw strikes for his life? Terrible move.

First base ump blows a call for the final out of the 7th in the A's/Orioles game, Orioles then turn in a big inning. A's are in a complete freefall now. I'm praying the Royals win tonight or tomorrow in Seattle as I don't want the A's to be the one to end the streak. The team's offense is gone.

Well, my reverse psychology worked out perfectly, so let's try it again.

Bonderman will no-hit the Red Sox tomorrow.

But seriously, Remlinger is Embree redux. Hopefully Papelbon will only start one more game and then go to the pen because with that fastball, he'll be pretty untouchable for one or two innings (since he seems to tire after about 70 pitches or so).

Maybe Remlinger and Proctor can exchange pitching tips.

You act as if your team has lost ten in a row. You still lead the Yanks by a game and a half in the WC.

The Os are only a game under .500 at 59-60. If they can get the sweep tomorrow...it would put them 7 GB of Oakland for the Wild Card with 42 games left.

The way they've been playing under Perlozzo (8-4) and getting really good pitching, its possible. I woudldn't have thought it possible 2 weeks ago either..

Interesting question I heard on a sports talk show (Can't remember which might have even been Cold Pizza or something of that ilk), will The Royals win another game? Obviously I think they will, but how long can this losing streak go on? Today, they have the series finale against Seattle in Seattle against Jamie Moyer. If I had to bet my money, I'd say they lose today and after that, it's a series against the As in Oakland, a series against The Red Sox at home and a series against the Yankees in New York. I bet they break their losing streak at home against Texas when they face them in early September. By then, their losing streak would be over 30 games.

This Royals team is absolutely pitiful, on par perhaps with the '03 Tigers? I think the Royals might have a hard time winning six more games this season to beat The Tigers 43 wins.

So how long do you guys think the Royals losing streak will last?

Two games at most.  Anyone who thinks the Royals, bad as they are, can't win a single game against Oakland, Boston or New York is kidding themselves.  Even the pathetic Cleveland Spiders didn't lose 30 straight.

Hey Al....what is the longest losing streak in baseball history? 25?
