MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 Yeah, so first of all, why the hell isn't this on FX? At least FX would run all of the episodes in order over 24 hours, which was cool (I actually sat up and watched all 24 episodes when FX did the Season 1 Marathon right before Season 2 started). Anyway..take a look at this mess that I've gathered from my Tivo: Starts Monday, September 5th 2PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 7-8 AM 3PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 8-9 AM 4PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 9-10 AM 5PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 10-11 AM 6PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 11 AM - 12 PM 7PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 12-1 PM 8PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 1-2 PM 9PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 2-3 PM 10PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 3-4 PM 11PM -- CSI:MIAMI 12AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 1-2 PM 1AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 2-3 PM 2AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 3-4 PM 3AM -- CSI:MIAMI 4AM -- MI-5 5AM -- 8AM PAID PROGRAMMING 8AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 4-5 PM 9AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 5-6PM 10AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 6-7PM 11AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 7-8 PM 12PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 8-9 PM 1PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 9-10 PM 2PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 10-11 PM 3PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 11 PM - 12 AM 4PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 12-1 AM 5PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 1-2 AM 6PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 2-3 AM 7PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 3-4 AM 8PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 4-5 AM 9PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 5-6 AM 10PM -- 24 - Day 4 : 6-7 AM (Final Episode) 11PM -- The Real Exorcists 12AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 4-5 AM 1AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 5-6 AM 2AM -- 24 - Day 4 : 6-7 AM ---- Yeah, so that sorta takes all the fun out of a 24 Marathon. IDIOTS!
Zetterberg is God Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 When did A&E acquire 24 syndication rights?
Placebo Effect Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 When did A&E acquire 24 syndication rights? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm fairly certain FOX just "rents" the rights out for a day to whatever network is willing to give the most money/free advertising for the new season. Thank God I have TiVo, as I only saw the last six episodes or so of the season. Even though it'll take the fun out of it, with me knowing how it ends, I'll still be happy to see those 18 episodes I'd missed.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 That's not so bad... They take a break from 11 PM until 8 AM, but the entire season is still airing in order.
MDH257 Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 WGN has been advertising that they'll be airing 24 reruns on Sunday nights starting in September.
Placebo Effect Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Someone reminded me twenty minutes into the first episode. Thank God, as I only got to see the last six episodes or so of the season, and am loving these episodes.
the max Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Everyone check the replay of the episode at midnight eastern. This is the episode with the single greatest opening sequence in the show's history.
The Mandarin Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Everyone check the replay of the episode at midnight eastern. This is the episode with the single greatest opening sequence in the show's history. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I watched it and saw nothing interesting. Must have been a different episode. What was the segment you saw?

This is the episode with the single greatest opening sequence in the show's history. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I watched it and saw nothing interesting. Must have been a different episode. What was the segment you saw? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A&E lied to me. My info said that it was the episode where Jack saves Audrey and Sec. Heller from the terrorists. I was thinking it was the episode where Jack goes into the terrorist camp by himself, mowes down 10-12 guys and singlehandedly saves Audrey and Sec. Heller. This entire dequence took place in the first 9 minutes of the episode, making it the best opening in the show's history.
The Mandarin Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 But is it better than Jack mowing down all of Victor Drazen's buddies and then killing him and his son in cold blood (from season one)? That would be hard to top.
Placebo Effect Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 You want to know what I'm loving about this marathon? A & E knows that a large amount of its audience is going to use a DVR, and as a result, has it fixed perfectly. Every single episode, when you start the episode, it starts exactly on "Previously on 24." I'm on hour twelve now. I'm guessing I have six or seven left until I get to the episodes I've already seen.
the max Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 But is it better than Jack mowing down all of Victor Drazen's buddies and then killing him and his son in cold blood (from season one)? That would be hard to top. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IIRC, that wasn't the opening sequence. The opening sequence of the season 1 finale ended with Palmer smashing a vase because he was so pissed at Sherri. Jack's one man war with the Drazens closed the second act.
packwingfn Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Starting NEXT monday. A&E is airing 4 episodes a day of 24 starting at 2. And they are starting in order from Day 1. I own them all on DVD but it'll be cool to catch an episode or 2 whenever nothing else is on TV at the time.
