Post-AS Booking Stuff.

OK, so this week we'll have to have the 4 Way Ladder/TLC match for the Tag Titles announced (Paging Mr. Woolery, Mr. Chuck Woolery). That match will be next Thursday.

 

With AS behind us, now it's time to up the Originals/Upstarts feud. I know CC's gotta call it quits for a bit now, which throws a wrench in some of the Upstarts ideas. Just gauging people here to see what's going to go on.

Who's the 4th team? I think it was Crystal & Gunner, but I can't remember for sure. If the 4th team was C & G, with Crystal leaving, we could stick Popick in her place or replace them with SJ/PR. Or we keep the teams as is and send CC off in a big match.

 

The Boiz have been lost in the shuffle the last few months, although I've come up with reasonable excuses (touring overseas, The Marv currently with a deep knee bruise), so I thought about writing a promo with them getting attacked by the GPX. Zack would then make the save.

 

And I need some Diablos stats, Zack. Really just their music. Otherwise they're debuting to the Mexican Hat Dance or Pink Panther theme.

I had said that PRL and SJ could in fact be a team.

 

For the next PPV, I would like to have either a Dan/SJ or Tony/SJ fight. I'll be planting the seeds for SJ's turn on the Upstarts over the next few weeks. I figure he should change sides 2 PPV's from now, unless anyone objects (He'll figure out Drek's using him with a certain promise, and then plans to dump him and not honor that promise). Believe me, SJ isn't turning face, just being an ally of convience to whoever will help him and PRL.

Going on from what happened at the PPV, I'd say Dan vs. SJ. But that's up to you guys. I PM'd Eski to get his thoughts on the direction of Black T. At this point I have nothing to do for DD.

 

Forgot about the GPX. Not sure about a 5 Way, seems too much like a cluster. Then again, with 4 teams it could still turn into a huge cluster. But whatever you guys decide. I could see SJ doing something to cost Black T the chance at winning.

I'll get on doing a segment... I've got a couple ideas. I figure, I'll announce it at the beginning of the show, and the rest of the show can be built around repercussions from the booking (pissed off tag champs, excited tag teams, etc. etc.)

Until the end of the year, it seems I'm taking over the Women's Division with CC and PFL both not around. So, I might not be able to write much of the TLC. But, please, no 5-Way. Writing the 3-Way TLC for the SWF was bad enough on my brain...ten people is WAY too many. Boiz vs. GPX vs. Black T vs. Zack/Rodez is fine.

 

We need to explain why Zack and Rodez would be teaming though. If we had Cal say they impressed as a team during the 6 Man a few weeks ago and he thinks they'd make money as a team, then that'd be fine. Then I can do a promo for next week with Zack and Rodez.

I think we were going to keep Triple C, but turn Coach heel and have Caboose be more faceish, but in the snide type of way. He's agreed to be an Original.

 

Writers for the ladder match are me, Tony, Eski and KC at this point. If anyone wants to contribute (I just have the itch to produce a helluva match), it's welcome. I'd actually like us to get cracking on it this week, that way it's not rushed. I've got a bunch of spots planned for it already.

As long as I don't have to do the opening (I can't write a good entrance), I don't care which portion I'm asked to write. So lay out the match or whatever you had to do. This is by far going to be the biggest match I've ever been apart of and I don't want my portion to suck. Hell, I haven't even gotten started on what I'm supposed to write this week.

 

Could SJ play a role in the match? Having just watched WM 21 on DVD, more specifically the "Money in the Bank" ladder match, the spot where Edge knocks Benoit off the ladder with a chair would work really well with my character and SJ, with Brannigan's arm still hurting from AS. Eski and I talked and one of the ideas thrown out was Black T vs. SJ/PR for DD. It would help further along the storyline.

Well there's another pretty high-profile team of two former X Champs coming in soon as well, I wouldn't mind pitting them against the GPX or someone similar down the track, considering the styles mesh well. But I wasnt to establish them as a legit team first.

Aight, so i know, how do we run who wins and who loses? I could really give a damn, but I figure SJ needs a win over tony or dan before the tagteam match (and however the hell you guys need to book that is cool, im still kind of lost in the storyline).

Zack/Rodez are winning the tag belts in the ladder match.

 

My take on explaining Zack/Rodez is that Calvin announces the match this week, and we get word from all the teams. Cal can put us two together as the Wildcard tag team, and sort of use Zack's own philosophy against him, saying that it's good for the company because 1)Zack teaming with a younger star will disprove Drek's claims, 2)Rodez has his own Upstart problems lately, and 3)It just makes things interesting, and interest=ratings. Me and KC can then do a promo where we do our best to get along and get a strategy going.

Does SJ have to physically interfere? Especially right at the end. I was kinda hoping to have it be a 'clean' victory, or as clean as it gets in a TLC Match at least, so I'm not really high on the idea of nice-guy Rodez and top-face (screw Hoff lolz) Zack winning because Stephen Joseph 'helps' them.

 

Maybe if SJ and Dan brawl off towards the end and Tony tries to wrestle on solo. Or Tony chases off to help Dan. Rather than it neccessarily being the lead up to the finish.

He doesn't have to be involved in the finish. It could be more like a run-in during the match. But if you'd prefer something else, your idea is fine.

 

Of course, that means you boys are so dropping the belts to one of my teams. I won't let you get away with losing them to the GPX.

You know something, I just had an idea for PK and Parka...

 

For a few weeks, we can tease the reunion of The Dream Machines. They can each save each other from interference, etc. Just slowly build it, and then have each one drop hints about how it's nice to have the other on the "right side". Then you could make it where Parka (if he agrees to this) is leaning towards the Upstart side. Hell, he can even reference how Zack took out the Dream Machines on one of the early HD's. PK can say they should stick with the Originals, and that's where their allegiance belongs, until it winds up with the two feuding rather than teaming.

 

As for the ladder match, I'd have SJ interfere somewhere in the middle, but not at the end, that way Black can have to go at it by himself for a while, with Tony laid out in the ring/at ringside.
