therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 As I look at this pregame stuff, I am reminded how happy I am that they'll never do this kind of crap in Philly again after Ja Rule got booed off the field a couple years ago...
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 9, 2005 23 Patriots 16 Raiders
Robert 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 If they ever did this crap in Green Bay or Chicago doing the Thursday opening. I'd hate the NFL for putting crappy musicians over tradition. Bad enough they did it in Philly. What the hell is Ozzie Osbourne doing at Foxboro?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 It should of been a one hour Hank Williams Jr. concert with special guest Bon Jovi....
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 9, 2005 They tried too hard to make the season opener a superbowl like event.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 I just want to see Lamont Jordan go at it as he's on my fantasy team..but Im guessing he wont get much.
teke184 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Damn... Raiders are moving the ball pretty good on their first drive. Â Â Granted, getting that free play where Collins unloaded it to Moss DID help quite a bit.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Hmm. Â So far, the Pats defense has looked awful. Â 31 game streak of no first possession TDs broken..

LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Meh, we all knew the Raiders O would be solid. Let's see how their D fares against the Pats over 4 quarters.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Greatriots no more? Uh oh... <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  7 minutes into the first game and already putting the team down?  God Boston/NE fans are so damn fickle.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 I'm kidding... Â Trust me it's gonna take me alot more than 1 game to doubt the greatness that is my Patriots
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Pats D slowly starting to show life. Raiders defense apparently still at the hotel waiting for the team bus to bring them to the field. Â 10-7 NE
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Moss, Huge TD, 73 yards.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 There's no way Randy Moss plays as long as Jerry Rice though..so comparing their two careers through 7 years, while interesting, is pointless.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 9, 2005 There's no way Randy Moss plays as long as Jerry Rice though..so comparing the two, while interesting, is pointless. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â It's not pointless. It's just pointing out how fucking GOOD Randy Moss is. Â It's comparable to the greatest player in that position, we never know how long a player will last so dont assume Randy Moss won't play 20 seasons like Rice did. Â Just acknowledge that Randy Moss is about even with the greatest WR of all time at this point in his career.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 It's a miracle the Raiders blocked the extra point attempt!
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Hats off to both defensive coordinators, they have made HUGE adjustments in the locker room at the half. Â Both teams look good, not as good as you'd like but for the first week of the season they both look very good.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Why does ABC insist on starting the game @ 9 forcing the game to end around 1 AM? Â I liked when they used to start @ 8.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Westcoast bias?
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Because starting at 8pm doesn't allow for a big change in the game time. If you are willing to stay up to midnight, you are willing to make it to 9pm in the eyes of ABC. The extra hour allows them to run another program before football, thus freeing up an hour for them to toss a show into instead of holding onto a wasted pilot that has to wait for an opening. Â All about the money.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Holy crap are the Raiders undisciplined. They're well on their way to leading the league in penalties again.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Oh great, another year of "make the game closer than it really should be". They really have to learn how to just finish teams off.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Patriots need to fire the special teams coach for allowing 2 block kicks.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Oh great, another year of "make the game closer than it really should be". They really have to learn how to just finish teams off. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  Oh come on, what's the fun in that? Making Patriots fans want to rip out their hair is just how this teams gets their giggles. Hell, I'm sure I'll be bald by the time I'm 27 if this keeps up.  Both teams looked average, both have lots of areas they need to improve but they both showed flashes of being great teams. The Raider offense of "throw the ball as far as you can" seems to work ok.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Damn I took the Raiders cause the line was 7.5. If Janikowski wwould have made the field goal, I would have stolen a pick in pick 'em.........AAAAAAAAAARGH.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 You gotta love the effort Randy Moss put up on the two point conversion. He showed tons of effort the rest of the game though so maybe he was just tired. Or bored. I mean hey, it is past Randy's bedtime.
Annabelle 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 kerry collins has once again proven he is useless. his o-line was giving him time to pull down his pants, read the ny times, shit, and wipe his ass while still finding an open receiver. like fuck. you useless cunt.
