The Czech Republic Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 George Bush doesn't care about black puppets.
Jebus Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Looking at the schedule here in Canada, Global only seems to be showing 3 of the 4 episodes. At 8 is Next Great Chef. So check out Fox at 8, if you've got it. Fuckin' Fox here in Quebec got the Global feed without realizing that they're not showing the first episode
Gary Floyd Posted February 11, 2006 Author Report Posted February 11, 2006 It was Arrested Developement. Damnit, I'll miss that show. Hopefully, another network will pick it up. Until then... "My Name Is Judge"
SuperJerk Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Almost showtime... Get it? *sigh* That Ron Howard cameo was the icing on the cake. Really felt like a series finale, too...
The Czech Republic Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Well, I guess I'll just have to kill myself now.
SuperJerk Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 What do we always say is the most important thing?
Placebo Effect Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 "My name is Judge" is awesome simply because I lent an Entertainment Weekly that had one of those talking "My Name is Earl" ads in it to a friend and the damn thing went off in the middle of a lecture. First episode, overall, wasn't all that great. Plenty of good stuff with Reinhold's show and William Hung though. "Do you remember when you thought there was a mysterious Mr. F out to get you?" 'Mr. F' "Yeah, but that was retar... Misguided." "Well, it wasn't really your 50th birthday." What the hell was up with FOX bleeping the Veronica Mars reference? Second episode was one of the best ever. "You're such a pussy." "That's a good thing." "I am behaving like an Uday impersonator." Third episode was nearly as good as the second. They finally referenced the fact that Gob doesn't have a home. "Maybe hot sailors." "What abot hot sea..." "No." "Well, that was a freebie." "Stupid Oscar! When are you going to learn there's no such thing as free shrimp?" "Ohh come on!" Holy fucking shit, what a wonderful ending. If this is the end, it was incredibly appropriate and wonderful.
SuperJerk Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 And, for the first time ever, I actually found Justine Bateman attractive.
treble Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 And they had the Soup Nazi on there, on top of everything.
Placebo Effect Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 And, for the first time ever, I actually found Justine Bateman attractive. Yeah, seriously. She should've had a new headshot taken in the middle of the shoot.
bob_barron Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 What an awesome ending. I'm gonna miss that show
The Czech Republic Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Yeah, I don't see it on Showtime in the future. I think that's it. Ron Howard showed up on camera, that's the end.
SuperJerk Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 It'll be hard to continue the story the way it was left, but the writers are clever enough to find a way, I'm sure.
The Czech Republic Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I didn't like Lindsay turning out to be adopted; that was a little contrived.
Placebo Effect Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I didn't like Lindsay turning out to be adopted; that was a little contrived. That was likely supposed to play out between, say, episodes 13 and 18, but that didn't get to happen. Seeing as how Mitch sort of dismissed the idea of continuing the show (hopefully not), I don't blame the writers for throwing everything out there.
Hank Kingsley Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Oh man. I'd love more episodes, but I'm perfectly content with the ending they gave us. Well done, Mr. Hurwitz.
AnonymousBroccoli Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I'm still not thrilled that it's over, or the way Fox let it go out, but I'm happy with the episodes. My sister and I loved the toast gag at the start of the third episode. Unfortunately, neither ComaSense.com or ImNotScar.com lead anywhere.
bob_barron Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 So were Maeby and George Michael really married? Wouldn't they have to get a marriage license? I was sad we didn't get any more appearances from Kitty or Barry. The jokes about Tobias being a Nellie were also very funny.
Special K Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 All four eps were fantastic. God, I'm going to miss this show. I can't see any other show being my favorite show ever.
ZGangsta Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Amazing way to end the show. Bringing in Ron Howard at the absolute end was the perfect way to cap it off. I wish so much that they'd continue this show, but I couldn't possibly been happier with the series as a whole.
Special K Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I hope the 3rd season DVD is packed full of every extra imaginable. I'm so getting ahead of myself. I miss it already. *weep* "Fucking baby." EDIT: 'Second base like Pete Rose' should enter the nation's lexicon.
Special K Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I hate every person who has a Nielson Box. My television is reduced to Veronica Mars and whatever FX puts on. (Thief is goiung to be the shit) The Veronica Mars reference was awesome. What was it? non-network high school teen drama show censored by FOX?
Hank Kingsley Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 They finally referenced the fact that Gob doesn't have a home. Ha. "I always pictured him living in a lighthouse."
SuperJerk Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 In fairness, AD is a REALLY hard show to jump into, so I'm not surprised it didn't attract a lot of new viewers. Unless you've seen most of the episodes that proceeded the one you're watching, half the jokes don't make any sense.
The Czech Republic Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I should start using "excuse me, Judge Reinhold"
