For others it's been a god send, a way of life, connecting wih a bunch of old friends and some new ones and becoming obsessed with an Uncle Tom who lives down the street. I signed up upon a friend's recommendation in January, and I thought it was stupid for the first few months. Then, after discovering that quite a few of my friends from around here used the service, as well as locating old friends, classmates, it became highly addicting. There is a fair amount of stupid shit, but that could be said about any message boards you would go to as well, or any place where people communicate on the internet. EDIT: Yeah, the MySpace music pages are gerat for aspiring musicians as well as those who are looking to discover quality unsigned bands.
