Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 Again I say: I told you so. His shoulder was never fully healed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He re-injured it. And the Redskins are being dicks about Ramsey. They want to keep him for no reason.
teke184 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 At this rate, I think the Saints are contenders for the #1 pick. The problem is that, by the end of the year, Adrian McPherson will probably have Aaron Brooks job and Brooks will be traded for a star linebacker. If McPherson is working out, they may not decided to keep the #1 pick and then start fielding offers on it, such as for a lower pick and some defensive players. He was DEFINITELY not at 100%. Period.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2005 Gee Doctor, what else did you notice? I'll go with he re-tore his rotator cuff like they said he did.
BX 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2005 The Jets should trade for Phillip Rivers or Seneca Wallace.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2005 I don't think Seattle would give Seneca up too easily.
BX 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2005 Why don't they call Quincy Carter? Sure, he likes crack, a lot of crack, enough so that he'll risk violating the NFL substance abuse policy right before our fucking season last year and force us to start Vinny T, and then go to the Jets where he does that shit again... But hey, that little fucker has to be better then Bollinger, right? Right?
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2005 Gee Doctor, what else did you notice? I'll go with he re-tore his rotator cuff like they said he did. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With a torn rotator cuff it takes time to build up arm strength again, especially when a repetitive whipping motion is going to be resumed. The tear itself may have healed, but his arm was clearly not back to 100%. He overcompensated, and reaggrivated the original injury. Plus, Dr. James Andrews is now saying it may not be an actual tear and is more of a stress/long-term damage related injuryt, which gives further credence to the theory that he wasn't right in the first place. Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 This is too depressing. Fuck the Chargers and Redskins for hogging up QBs.

Right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I heard on that Radio that Carter pretty much called out sick during the Playoffs which screwed the Jets when his mother was sick. So the Jets pretty much have zero interests in bringing him back.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 Hey don't blame the Chargers for being wise with their draft picks. I seem to recall a certain.... MIKE NUGENT drafted by the Jets... yeah.
devo 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 If your team's kicker lost a divisional playoff game twice in the course of a minute, you'd want your team to draft a new one too.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 Or... sign a free agent one.
BX 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 I'm not sure the free agent market for kickers was too hot this off-season.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 The Jets were looking for a long term answer. Not another Doug Brien.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little excited when the Jets signed Testaverde. He was always one of my favorite players in the league. In my Madden franchise a couple years ago, I even traded away Pennington so he could start. When I think about it rationally, I know he won't really help the Jets much at all, but there's this little voice in the back of my mind that says he can lead them to a playoff run. Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 I'm a little excited at the possibilites with his arm in a downfield passing game, with a good defense. Of course, we'll probably just see a bunch of running and safe calls.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 There are Billy Volek to NY rumors. Keith Bullock said himself that Volek is going to NY, and Volek won't give comments on the situation. If that's the case, I think it's a great trade. Well, depends who we give up.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 It's a fucking kicker! You could have easily picked up a serviceable one in the free agent market. It's not exactly a pressing position.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 We wanted a Janikowski, Wilkins, Akers, Vanderjackass, Longwell, Mr. last second FG type. No more Feeleys, or Briens, or Gramaticas, or whatever. We need the Nuge.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 Just out of curiousity, has anyone seen Brook Bollinger start an NFL game? Or is everyone just assuming he sucks because of his name and placement on the depth chart?

devo 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 Just out of curiousity, has anyone seen Brook Bollinger start an NFL game? Or is everyone just assuming he sucks because of his name and placement on the depth chart? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, that's the thing; he hasn't started an NFL game yet. He's only played in one quarter in the two and a half years since he's been drafted.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 So was Brien. Still not the type that stays with an organization for like 20 years. Bollinger was like 5 for 9, 60 yards passing in a game against Arizona last year (season game). He can scramble a bit.

Give the guy a chance before going into "The sky is falling!" mode. He might be the next big thing. Sign some back-ups and give the kid a chance. He might be surprising and lead the Jets into the playoffs.
