Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Go to a game live.
the max 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Your best bet is to go to a live game. Hockey's disadvantage is that it's the best sport that I've ever seen live, but it doesn't transition onto television for some people. http://www.nhl.com/nhlhq/cba/rules_changes072205.html That's a list of rule and other changes made in the offseason with the new CBA. Dogbert 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 Hopefully, he didn't pick the PHX/CGY game tonight. Wayne figured out how to beat the Flames easily, and that's T-R-A-P.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 Habs and Boston tonight. I'd prefer watching these two teams play than the Leafs and Habs.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 ^ Yeah, I'm looking forward to tonight's game ... the B's are playing like a completely different team now than they were in game 1 (OTT debacle excluded). Should be a fun game
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 If its in Boston, Montreal will win, at home, I'd expect Theodore to make 58 saves for a loss, while Montreal gets maybe 13 on net.
the max 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 The Bruins defense is a lot worse than 13 shots allowed. Martin Havlat was suspended for five games for kicking Hal Gill during the game on saturday. As far as I'm concerned, everyone can kick Hal Gill.
Fartsauce 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 I was watching Off The Record yesterday and the 67's coach Brian Kilrea was trying to justify Havlat's kick as saying he lost his balance and he was trying to protect himself. OOOOOkay.

CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 Pretty cool moment to open the Bruins-Habs game in La Belle Province. An Expos banner was raised to start the game, raised by Youppi, Gary Carter and Andre Dawson.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2005 Anyone see the TSN Power Rankings? They have the Leafs at 2. And the 4-1-1 Canucks are like 17th. Hooray!
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2005 Halfway through, Montreal has seen more box than Ron Jeremy, and it's 2-1 bears.
the max 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2005 Andrew Raycroft is playing out of his mind. Montreal should have at least 5 goals right now due to Boston's lack of defense. On the bright, Brian Leetch scored his 1000th career point on Boston's third goal.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2005 That was a fun game to watch, amazing how the Bruins managed to get 2 good chances with a 2-man disadvantage to end the game.
the max 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2005 If only they'd have signed another defenseman instead of Alex Zhamnov.
ZGangsta 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2005 The end of that game almost gave me a heart attack. But great game overall.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2005 The Ducks have a pretty good shot at making the playoffs in the bottom half of the Western Conference bracket. Signing Scott Niedermayer away from the Devils gives their defense instant credibility. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been saying that since August. They're my sleeper. Boy, I like saying 'my sleeper'. Guest Report post Posted October 19, 2005 The Kings have 2 big games in 2 nights. The game against Colorado tonight can show that they can actually win on the road, and the game against Detroit can show that the Kings are ready to step up as a top team in the Western Conference. I'm really looking forward to these games.
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted October 20, 2005 Man, this Ranger-Isles game is fun. I hate the fuckin Rangers, but God you have to think its great for the game if they do well.

mike546 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 Great game between the Rangers and Isles. Its so odd seeing a semi decent Ranger team, which actually plays the game the right way.
Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 That Rangers v. Islanders game was great. Great pace and tempo. Am I the only one that gets joy from the mere fact that guys are now skating along, rushing, forechecking, backchecking, joining the attack, etc. unobstructed? I mean, I could care less if every game is 1-0, but the obstruction (so far) has just added so much natural flow and speed that had been taken away.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 San Jose absolutely sucks on the road. They had Minnesota in a 1-1 tie after 2, but the Wild hung a 5-goal third period on them. Speaking of which, how many five-goal periods were there all last season? Two? Three? Any??

Garon was pretty good after giving up the 4 goals in the 1st and 2nd period, and Conroy and Demitra had huge games. Big win for the Kings, they needed it. Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 Apparently the Avs has declined options for Joe Sakic and Rob Blake next year.
the max 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 If Sakic leaves, I will be shocked. Even with all of the player movement recently, I can't see him in another uniform. Blake will have to take a rather substantial paycut because he's kind of getting on with age. I'd love to see him in a black and gold sweater, but that is dependant on what the Bruins do with their defensive corps.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 Knowing your luck Max, they'd piss you off even more by keeping Hal Gill instead of going after Rob Blake.
the max 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 Oh, knowing my luck they'll keep Hal Gill as a franchise defenseman and tell Boynton to hit the bricks.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 You know, I can see that happening next year.
