Guest nokia Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 I just got through reading the latest wrestling observer newsletter for this week and my eyes almost popped out of my head when I read which future "plans" wwe had for Mark Copani (Hassan) had he not been released.. According to the observer news letter, and I qoute; "He had refused to return to OVW and refused to go down to Deep South to test out his new gimmick..And the gimmick would have been the "kiss of death" for him anyway.. As WWE were going to have him WEAR A MASK AND PLAY A MEXICAN LUCHADOR, with the idea of a hayabusa or Kendo Kashin style mask Then the observer states that "everyone" would know who he was and that they hadn't even thought about covering up his tattoos or even thought through HOW he would wrestle like a mexican luchador.... * Any thoughts on this? Not sure if it's in the right folder, but it's sort of wwe news - but feel free to move it to it's rightfull place
Guest Fook_Theta Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Hah, italian boy from the Northeast trained in Louieville works Lucha style. Oh I've got to know who exactly came up with this and what Stephanie thought of it.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 The Mr. America 2 idea isn't that bad sounding compared to this tidbit.
Fro Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 That's hilarious because his strength is his interviewing and charisma, not his wrestling. No way he could wrestle lucha style (he can't even wrestle WWE style!)
dubq Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 I could've seen him as the stereotype lucha wrestler, like El Asso Wipo from MadTV - "I BREAK YOUR BACK LIKE THIS!!"
The Czech Republic Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 his strength is his interviewing and charisma ...it is?
2GOLD Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 his strength is his interviewing and charisma ...it is? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought Hassan was one of the better speaking heels in the company. If they had actually worked his gimmick right, he could have been huge. This prove the WWE has no CLUE how to work any gimmicks.
razazteca Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 It could of been great if he was a rudo and had a masked midget mascot with him.
Guest Shark Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 He is a very entertaining public speaker
Lil' Bitch Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 We could have had Mr. Mexico you know.
Team Angle Pusher Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 They should have had him become a manager on RAW, he's a great speaker.
Guest Brian Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 I wouldn't be surprised if it was a ploy to get him to quit at that point.
Vern Gagne Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 He is a very entertaining public speaker <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Beside the robotic delievery he was great.
Guest I miss Test. Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Dress him like a luchador... that means he would have been SD's jobber that loses in 5 seconds to everyone. I really don't get why people praise his speaking skills... very robotlike. The only positive he had was his look.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Damn. If Hassan stayed, we could have seen the return of EL GRAN LUCHADORE~!
Guest clockworkraven Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 The Mr. America 2 idea isn't that bad sounding compared to this tidbit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only if they gave him the stache.
BruiserKC Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Perhaps Hassan and Daviri could have been the reincarnation of Los Conquistadores?
