Jobber of the Week Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 JR was not only calling moves wrong, and calling wrestlers wrong, he was just losing his mind. "Rob Van Dam is making a grab for the stars and bars, er, stars and stripes."
slabinskia Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Instead of the useless segment of firing JR,They just should of had Ross and Lawler announced it was thier last week on raw and introduced coach's new broadcast partner:Joey Styles.
Enigma Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 I'll never forget the 2005 Rumble, in which J.R. thought Charlie Haas was Rene Dupree and vice versa. He even said "Au Revoir!" when Haas was eliminated. Quite embarassing.
Rendclaw Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 JR was at the top of his game when it was he and Bob Caudle in the NWA back in the mid to late 80s, but after a few years, it was obvious that Caudle was losing it. I get what Russo was saying, in that JR deserved better than to be used in some wack ass angle just to show the marks in the stands that he won;t be announcing anymore. And I have no doubt that there was more to it than just using him for an angle, as well. This is why I cannot stomach the steaming pile of crap that Raw has become.
