Double posts are evil.

Why it double posted I have no idea. I'm surprised that Corpse Bride didn't do better. I thought it would have cleaned up with the Hot Topic crowd.

The fact that this shitty looking remake of "The Fog" is the top in the box office pisses me off.

It's things like this that make me dislike the majority of casual moviegoers. I will give them credit for not seeing Domino, though.

Domino tanking doesn't shock me since the trailer was totally confusing. It didn't explain what the movie was about, who it was about, anything much of note about the story other than "My name is Domino Harvey...I am a bounty hunter." Also, just because Keira Knightley was the hot chick in Pirates of the Caribbean doesn't mean people want to see her in her own vehicles.

Elizabethtown doing bleh business isn't shocking either, though I did go to see it due to the local connection (quite a bit was filmed in Louisville). That said, if you aren't from the Louisville or E-Town areas a lot of stuff will be lost on you.

Domino may just be the worst promoted movie for a story that couldn't miss. Based on the reviews, I wouldn't have seen it anyway, but the premise was too interesting for it to be botched like it was leading into the premiere.

Like cabbage said, the trailer and teasers were just mind-numbing. Literally thirty seconds of dead air.

I didn't know until this thread that there was a true story behind Domino, which I decided to look into.

So, yeah, Hollywood dun fucked up this one. The previews just made it look like a generic action flick with a chick lead...

I watched the new Wallace and Gromit movie today. It was very Emeka Okafor, undersized with back problems. I gave it 3 or 4 out of 10 stars. The problem with it is like Serenity, it failed to tell a story. I had no idea what was going on in the movie other than the main jist of it that was pretty obvious about some garden contest and the were rabbit. Then again, I for the most part understood LOTR (except for a few boring parts which unconnect you with what is going on), so therefore I don't think I have a problem understanding movies. I gave it 3 or 4 stars out of 10 instead of 0 or 1 out of 10 because it was a prety unoffensive movie and the environment of the movie was pretty good.

I wonder if anyone punished Jodie Foster by not seeing her movies including Flight Plan after she no sold the Silence of the Lambs sequels/prequels/whatever. Flight Plan seems like a very generic/type cast role after Panic Room for her.

Domino seeming to be a generic action flick with a chick lead in a tough guy or "tough girl" role, I thought it would do better.

Two for the Money seems too much like Any Given Sunday, that tier 2 football movie, which is why I think Two for the Money isn't doing that strong in the box office.

STOP THIS.

I will try to, but I'll say in this case, the new Wallace and Gromit movie was very Andruw Bogut, no name with eye problems. Just like Kendra Todd in the Apprentice, people who don't follow college basketball but read the big headlines about it on espn.com and that is about it, didn't know who Andruw Bogut was until 2-3 weeks before the draft, and that is just pathetic. Andrew or Andruw Bogut will likely be a solid player but who cares, for him being the first pick of the draft outweighs his "solidness", and therefore he is a huge disappointment just like the new Wallace and Gromit movie in my opinion. The Okafor example was the same thing as the Bogut example more or less, I don't see why it isn't useful when talking about things. And I mentioned Kendra Todd for anyone who cares because she more or less didn't exist until midseason on the Apprentice.

I was saying how Wallace and Gromit was a disappointment, not how it "didn't exist". I don't see what is unclear.

I'm so absolutely confused by this post that it automatically makes me want to take back everything bad I've ever said about you, for now I fear you.

We know there's a way to keep people out of the WWE folder, but in fanofcoils's case, is there a way to just lock them in there?

I'd prefer it if there was a "Gulag" type folder.
