Your Ideal RAW 10-17-05

Recommended Posts

Guest Zarock

Given the fairly popular trend of internet booking and the like, along with the pretty awful state of RAW in general, I thought I'd take matters into my own hands by asking you-the TSM posters-how you'd do this week's RAW. This includes making angles, matches etc., as well as pulling the ones WWE has set into place from the gutters of Mediocre/Awful. So, on to the rules and such.

RULES THAT ARE SO AWESOME AND AMAZING IT'S UNBELIEVABLE:

1. You have an hour and thirty minutes of programming- You obviously you need to put in commercial breaks every now and then, also be sure to note the amount of time each segment lasts (rounded numbers, like just seven minutes instead of 7:36 is fine)

2. Don't be an idiot- Shelton Benjamin is not going to win the WWE title in one night after dwelling in relative obscurity since losing the IC title. Use logical booking, and not smark wet dreams.

3. Some stuff is already pre-determined- i.e. Foley being on the Cabana, as well as "McMahonmania" raping your T.V. Also, don't decide to just throw out angles because they suck- and yes I'm quite aware WWE does this often. Making usually shitty angles good and good angles great makes Jesus love you more.

The format will be a generic RAW recap (think Peter Koska's "Royal Treatment" or the like). I'll post mine in a little while.

I guess I'll give this a shot.

Video of JR's firing from last week (2:00)

This is just a recap of what happened last week. It ends with the McMahons celebrating together.

New Announcers (1:00)

Joey Styles and Paul Heyman welcome us to Raw. Styles explains that he's been hired to replace Jim Ross. He's glad to be here, but he wishes that it were under better circumstances. Paul Heyman explains (as he did when he first appeared on WWE programming) that Jerry Lawler has walked out of WWE once again, due to what happened last week.

Vince Speaks (5:00)

Vince comes out and brags about his wife firing JR. He says that Stone Cold will NOT be here tonight, despite what's being reported at WWE.com. Finally, he mentions that Eric Bischoff will announce matches for the upcoming interactive Pay-Per View, Taboo Tuesday.

Commercial

Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch vs. The Hurricane and Rosey (8:00)

Cade and Murdoch win here after Cade holds down Rosey's leg as Murdoch pins him. After the match, Hurricane yells at Rosey and then punches him. He takes off his mask, throws it down, and walks away in disgust.

Coach's Client (5:00)

The Coach appears on the TitanTron. He talks about how he's been getting heat over how he acted last week towards Vince McMahon and his comments towards Jim Ross on WWE.com. He forms a logical conclusion to all this: people are jealous of the Coach and his popularity. He states that he's now "too big" to be an announcer, saying that he'll now start leading others to greatness. He introduces his new client--Johnny Swinger, saying he has what it takes to make it to the top, just like the Coach. Swinger says he identifies with Coach about how others were always jealous of him. He says that the WWE is in for a big surprise.

Commercial

Shelton Benjamin vs. Kerwin White (2:00)

This is a squash, with Shelton pinning Kerwin after a Stinger Splash. Nick Nemeth tries to attack Shelton after the match but gets a T-bone Suplex for his troubles. Styles and Heyman put over how Shelton is "back in the game."

Bischoff's Plans (5:00)

Bischoff says that he's pleased to announce Taboo Tuesday's matches. He says that, like always, the fans will get to choose the matches and stipulations. The first match will be John Cena vs. Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship. The fans can either choose between a cage, a lumberjack, or a no-holds-barred match. He's also signed a match between Triple H and Ric Flair (he doesn't mention if the IC title will be on the line) where the fans can vote on their match type as well. In this case it can be either a First Blood, I Quit, or Submission match. Finally, he announces a fantasy battle royale between the divas, where the fans can choose what they'll wear. He says more matches will be announced on the next Raw.

Single White Female (1:00)

Backstage, Trish and Ashley are talking about what outfits they think the fans will vote on. Just then, Mickie James comes rushing in, now blonde. She asks Trish what she thinks of her new hair-color. Trish nervously says that it looks "great."

The Big Show vs. Edge (6:00)

The Big Show defeated Edge after he was distracted by Matt Hardy's music suddenly coming on. While Edge is suffering the effects of the chokeslam, Matt Hardy (wearing a SmackDown! shirt) runs through the crowd and sneaks up behind Lita. He delivers the Twist of Fate and steals the Money in the Bank briefcase. Security runs down to the ring but Matt escapes them by running through the crowd.

Commercial

Edge Complains to Bischoff (1:00)

Backstage, an angered Edge complains to Bischoff. Bischoff tells him that someone from SmackDown! must have gotten into the priduction truck. Edge asks what Bischoff is going to do about it. Bischoff suggests that Edge do something about it himself. Edge says that he'll get his briefcase back himself--by going to SmackDown!.

Kane Video (1:00)

A video plays hyping up Kane's return.

Flair Speaks (8:00)

Ric Flair comes to the ring, dressed to compete. He's wearing the IC title around his waist. He gets on the mic and talks about Triple H. His promo mentions Triple H telling him to retire, saying that HE'LL decide when he retires. He calls Triple H a coward and questions whether or not he's the best. Finally, he says that Eric Bischoff is forcing him to defend his title tonight against a mystery opponent.

Ric Flair vs. Kane (6:00)

The announcers are shocked that Bischoff would make Flair defend his title after he was brutally attacked just two weeks ago. They put over Flair being hurt and Kane looking for someone to hurt. Flair fights valiantly, but Kane finishes him off with the chokeslam and wins the title. After the match, Triple H runs in and begins punching Flair. Flair bleeds badly as Triple H smiles. He finishes Flair off by giving him two Pedigrees.

Commercial

Ambulance (1:00)

Flair is shown being loaded into an ambulance. Styles calls Triple H a "sick coward." Heyman says that maybe Flair will HAVE to retire if he keeps suffering so much damage.

Angle on Cena (4:00)

Angle comes out to the ring. He gets on the mic and says that it doesn't matter what match the fans vote on--he'll still beat Cena and take his title. He says that tonight, he's asked for a "warm-up" match to prepare for Cena. Matt Striker's music plays and he comes out to the ring.

Matt Striker vs. Kurt Angle (12:00)

Kurt Angle wins a hard-fought match against Striker with the Angle-Slam. Angle gets on the mic and says he'll beat Cena just like he did Striker. Cena runs down to the ring and starts to attack Angle. Angle starts to get the upper-hand, but Cena comes back and ends the conflict by delivering a sit-down underhook powerbomb to Angle. Styles dubs this new move the "F-Bomb."

Commercial

Carlito's Cabana (10:00)

Carlito comes out, insults the audience, ect. He announces Foley as his guest and Foley comes out to a big pop. Linda's pre-recorded promo comes on sometime during all this. Foley and Carlito banter back and forth with the ending being Foley shoving Mr. Socko down Carlito's throat.

Commercial

Austin Arrives (12:00)

Austin arrives to the arena in devestating fashion in his pick-up truck. He comes out to the ring and bad-mouths Vince McMahon. He tells him to come out to the ring before he goes looking for him in the back. Vince's music plays as both he and Stephanie come out. Vince and Steph get a mic and the two of them verbally spar with Austin for a bit. Vince tells Austin he can attack them all he wants because it won't bring JR back--nothing will. He says that he would've fired JR even if he did apologize, because it would piss off him (Austin).

Vince tells Austin that he did it to show the power he has over others. He talks about how after all the times Austin has attacked him it has accomplished nothing. He speaks about how the only time Austin even managed to "really hurt" him was when he was teamed with a McMahon. With ALL the McMahons united, Austin will never again be able to threaten them. Stephanie states that "The McMahons control both the present and the past, you're nothing to us." Vince states that he'll never change either--if anything he'll become even more oppressive. He ends this by saying that, "The power is back." Austin responds by flipping Vince off and then stunning him. He does the same to Stephanie. But he's not done, as he leaves the ring and comes back in with a chair. He sticks Vince's leg in the chair and proceeds to "Pillmanize" him. He does this again to Vince's other leg. Afterwards he spits on Vince and walks out, with no music or beer.
