Bruiser Chong Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Did Pierzynski just say "Fuck you" in Backe's direction after he went down swinging?
strummer Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Did Pierzynski just say "Fuck you" in Backe's direction after he went down swinging? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> at least he didn't charge the mound and knee him in the balls
Bruiser Chong Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 I can't wait for this series to be over. I'm so utterly bored watching the Astros "hit" that I'm contemplating cleaning while they're up.
Slayer Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 It's the most boring exciting World Series ever
Brush with Greatness Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 In all seriousness, if Houston wins this game, then winning the series is by no means would winning the series be a stretch with the likes of Clemens, Pettite and Oswalt throwing potentially the final three games. Yeah, yeah, I know Contreras, Buerle, and Garland are hot right now and have had excellent seasons but they do not have the consistent track records of the three Astro pitchers who are capable of single handedly winning games (as much as a pitcher can singlehandedly win you a game).
Bruiser Chong Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 An Astros win would require them to score at least one run, something that at this point, doesn't look like will ever happen again.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Now now, all they have to do is hit left of the yellow line, and they'll be credited a home run...
Vern Gagne Posted October 27, 2005 Author Report Posted October 27, 2005 A very interesting article si.com
The Czech Republic Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 "Way to bail on your team, Mr. Manager." Just manager.
mike546 Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Atleast they had a semi decent AB with a RISP this time.
Vern Gagne Posted October 27, 2005 Author Report Posted October 27, 2005 Houston looks too much like Minnesota.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Weren't the Yanks a lot better than their pythagorean during their championship years from 96 to 00? They still are. It's an unusual phenomenon, and the only reasonable explanation I can draw is Mariano Rivera.
mike546 Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Astros should have borrowed the Irish Tenner from the Yankees, maybe that would help them score.
slimm44 Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Anyone else hear Drowning Pool's version of 'Time to Play the Game' from Forceable Entry at the top of the 8th?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Anyone else hear Drowning Pool's version of 'Time to Play the Game' from Forceable Entry at the top of the 8th? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was just getting ready to mention that. Wonder why the top of the 8th inning is time to play the game..lol looks like the Sox were listening too
Fökai Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 McCarver on Backe, who's pacing around in the dugout hoping the Astros keep the Sox from scoring: "When you're out there, you can do something about it - when you're in the dugout, you can't." ...
Bruiser Chong Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 When Willie Harris beats you, it's time to pack it in.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Man, its not over. I'd love for it to be, but it's not.
Guest Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 If that shirt wasn't so big, I'd put it in my sig.
