Guest Ransome Report post Posted October 28, 2005 I watched a bit of the show. I turned off during the midgets segment and forgot about watching the rest. At the beginning of the show, Cole has the gall to say that Smackdown's 'ratings keep going up and up' (or something similar). The 5-way match is good, with a nice double powerbomb-superplex spot. I assume they're pushing for people to vote Rey and JBL (?) into the Taboo Tuesday match. Again, it feels like such a waste to use an interpromotional match during such a weak pay per view just for a couple extra buys. I haven't been watching the shows for the last couple of weeks, but I at least felt up to date after the pre-match recap video, which once again proves the value of WWE's excellent production team. Guest QUP2CME Report post Posted October 28, 2005 I just watched SD! (in Oz) and it was actually a pretty good episode. The tag team scene has been reinvigorated. Heidenreich and Animal MNM Paul Birchill and William Regal Mexicools James and Chad Dick (Isn't that what Cole said....Anyway I think their the Tolands from OVW) They also hinted at Nunzio and Vito teaming up to form a team. I wish they would actually give these teams some NAMES instead of wrestler A and Wrestler B. Mainevent was good for what it was. I hope they don;t rush Orton V Batista. IMO, if given proper build and a hot fued it is a money match. The 5 way had some good spots. Booker T's turn was obvious but was well done. Overall a good show and way better then Raw. As long as the members keep having similar gimmicks, I don't see the problem. (Same goes for RAW.)

hyperchord24 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 From the transcript, I didn't think the Booker heel turn was well done at all. As far as I can see, there was no logic to it. He wanted to beat Benoit fair and square, objected when sharmel interfered, then he turned on Benoit? I would've like to have seen sharmel turn heel and booker stay face. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 James and Chad Dick? The Dicks? Oh, Jesus Christ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope he said Wick. I believe Chad used to be Chad Wick, or that's his real name, something like that.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 The Juniors thing was interesting... they had this match graphic come up (similar to what would pop up for a title match) with a goofy sound effect while Palmer Canon sounded clueless on commentary and Tazz and Cole made jokes. They even left in the boring chants. Something is certainly up with this thing. Also, Teddy Long's reactions to the Boogeyman (who does appear) are priceless. Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 Then you have the two British guys and the two Italian guys. As long as the members keep having similar gimmicks, I don't see the problem. (Same goes for RAW.) I just call them the Blue Bloods and the FBI, because they are essentially the same thing. Plus there is the jobber teams of Kendrick/London & Scotty/Funaki. Decent show, BTW. It wasn't fantastic, but I was entertained enough. It certainly sounds better than RAW, which I didn't watch so I can't say for sure.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 James and Chad Dick (Isn't that what Cole said....Anyway I think their the Tolands from OVW) And right after Palmer Canon already called them the Tolands last week. Excellent work there, 'E'. Way to come with the quality control. Morons.
Guest QUP2CME Report post Posted October 29, 2005 Heidenreich and Animal are not referred to as LOD on WWE. Just like Rosey and Hurricane were never specifically referred to as the superheroes. Think up a name for Birchill and Regal and Nunzio and Vito FFS it's not that hard. The last team WWE named was called 'The Worlds Greatest Tag Team'. Nuff said. Guest clockworkraven Report post Posted October 29, 2005 Heidenreich and Animal are not referred to as LOD on WWE. Just like Rosey and Hurricane were never specifically referred to as the superheroes. From wwe.com... "The Fatal Fourway for the WWE Tag Team Championship pitted L.O.D. against MNM, the Mexicools and Brits Paul Burchill & William Regal." As for the rest of it; it's not that big a deal. Like I said, if they have the same gimmick, the name doesn't matter. It's when you get random jobbers and put them together that the tag division suffers. (And what happened to La Resistance? Or were they before TWGTT?)
