I passed through the stupid Cubs thing.

And tomorrow, he's doing it for the Astros. I'm guessing they're doing this for every "important" team now.

Oy.

Wait, they would never do one for the Toronto Blue Jays. They're a Canadian team and therefore irrelevant.

Know what would make these simulated press conferences more interesting?

Midgets.

I mean, it's always so funny when the WWE brings out midgets to emulate the face, right? Right??

They're still doing it. What's bad about it is that they have no clue what the organization is actually thinking so it's not like they're answering any hard hitting questions.

I saw the press conference this time around. Nice to take a pot-shot at Moneyball right off the bat. I'd like to bring out two player lines...

Player A: .253/.336/.453, OPS+: 110

Player B: .286/.355/.477, OPS+: 113

Player A is Hee Seop Choi ($350,000). Player B is Shawn Green (Dodgers owed $16 Million, but Arizona re-structured). The Dodgers have a gap at first base? If some manager actually let Choi play, they'd solve that problem.

ESPN doesn't try to cover the sports news, it tries to make the news. I refuse to watch sportscenter, but ESPNEWS is the best option available for me. What I hate about ESPN is that for their baseball highlights they only show one person's stats for each team. The hell there are 9 other players out there! ESPNEWS gives you at a min. of 5 players to even all 9!

Sportscenter jumped the shark several years ago.

And their website fucking sucks. I don't have a pop-up blocker at work and they have these big full page adds that mess up your computer if you try to close them. And you have to pay to get anything on the website. All you can get without paying is AP stories and some crappy analysis. Whoo-hoo.

Plus, ESPN's scoreboards always mess up for me... they're like hours behind for no apparent reason, sometimes. Even when I refresh. I finally stopped going there.

Yes, true...........what the fuck is up with EVERYTHING on the website being Insider only info? I'm gonna say thius and if it offends or pertains to anyone here, then too bad. Anyone who pays for ESPN Insider is a jack ass. All the shit is is these premadonnas stroking their ego nonstop.

Hearing all this is making me glad the Canadian Sportscentre isn't like that. A couple of the hosts can be somewhat silly (Jay Onrait in particular), but they still deliver the sports news and highlights first and foremost, and don't try to drive home gimmicks or promote themselves. The TSN website sounds better than ESPN's too, as all their stories are visible for everyone to see. If you register at the website (for free) you can even watch videos of highlight packages, the Top 10, and other features.

Maybe some Americans should check it out at TSN.ca, though the hockey-heavy news might scare some of you off. Or it might be a refreshing break from the T.O. saga. Who knows?
