Failed Bridge Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 this is because I don't wanna sift through the other thread, and its a Monday Night game most definately deserving of its own thread.
Stephen Joseph Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Peyton loses again ... c'mon, that would be priceless
2GOLD Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 NE doesn't really have much of a shot. Their offense doesn't get going until the second half, their offensive line cannot block for the run or the pass, the defense doesn't force turnovers and the defensive line is still out of whack. If the Colts cannot beat this team, they are really going to be in trouble with the rest of their schedule.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 NE 24, Indy 17... mark it down.
Sass Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 The Colts will smash on the hurting Patriots and to even think otherwise is fuckin foolish. If the Pats were healthier, I'd give this game "it'll be close" remark but in the end I'd still give this game to the Colts. Freeney and Co. can stop NE's run. The Colts 2ndary *will* come to play and I don't see Brady completing many passes. The Colts have one of the best offensive lines in the league and the Pats are just so banged up on the otherside of the ball that I doubt they'll be effective. Get ready to bust out party gifts Alf cuz your team is winning this game tonight in dramatic fashion (ala Bears/Cowboys '85 MNF game).
Guest Leelee Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 As long as the Colts remember to establish Edgerrin, they should have no problem, as the Pats run defense is decimated. I still think it's going to be a tight game, though...
Cartman Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 If the Pats are held to 3 points or less tonight by the defense that allowed Houston to score 20 on them I will quit posting here.
Art Sandusky Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 ^^ A lot more telling than you'd think. Also, they woulda lost to the Rams if Bulger hadn't gotten rocked on that block. Patriots win. Not big, but they win.
Failed Bridge Posted November 7, 2005 Author Report Posted November 7, 2005 Seymour appears to be out again according to a couple local radio stations.
sfaJack Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 If the Pats are held to 3 points or less tonight by the defense that allowed Houston to score 20 on them I will quit posting here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 6 of those 20 came on a kickoff return.
Cartman Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Still... Dillon is out too apparently, the hits just keep coming. All the more embarrasing if the Colts do lose(which I know they wont).
2GOLD Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Still... Dillon is out too apparently, the hits just keep coming. All the more embarrasing if the Colts do lose(which I know they wont). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If the Colts do lose, I'll be confused. There is no earthly reason they should lose this game. NE hasn't even shown flashes of being a good team this year. And the biggest key reasons the Pats have been able to beat the Colts in the past, forced turnovers, shouldn't be happen since the Pats cannot create a turnover with this team. Unless Steve Atwatter and Ronnie Lott came out of retirement, found the fountain of youth and are now starting for the Patriots...there is just nothing in the secondary worth a damn.
Cartman Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 I completely agree and it hurts. ALthough one thing I always believe in is that a team can "get away" with having a halfassed secondary if the Pass Rush is good enough. Pressuring the QB into making mistakes can make any DB look like a star. The problem is without seymour they have NO pass rush to speak of. The only way the Pats win tonight is miracles and mistakes.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Wow and you call yourselves Pats fans? Hey Cartman, give me my USC team!
Cartman Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 lol, i'm as big a fan as there is, but i'm also realistic.
Failed Bridge Posted November 8, 2005 Author Report Posted November 8, 2005 lol, i'm as big a fan as there is, but i'm also realistic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually you're quite the fairweather fan. You turned on Brady after the game in Miami last year. I'm not saying this to start shit, its just true. Oh, and Dillon is starting tonight while Patrick Pass is inactive.
Failed Bridge Posted November 8, 2005 Author Report Posted November 8, 2005 Inactive players for the Colts: Running back Kory Chapman Running back Ran Carthon Defensive back Matt Giordano Tight end Ben Utecht Linebacker Keith O'Neil Defensive tackle Vincent "Sweat Pea" Burns Receiver Aaron Morehead Defensive end Josh Thomas Patriots inactive players Receiver Andre' Davis Running back Kevin Faulk Running back Patrick Pass Safety James Sanders Offensive tackle Matt Light Fullback/defensive lineman Dan Klecko Defensive lineman Richard Seymour Matt Cassel -- 3rd quarterback
2GOLD Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 I'm just saying the secondary isn't worth a damn cause they haven't proven they are worth a damn. I mean, only TWO interceptions as a team and the only one to go for any return yards was by a linebacker (Vrabel). No one on the defense has more than three sacks and only 13 sacks as a team. Allowing 25 points a game, 359 yards a game with 230 yards a game passing and the pathetic two INTs as a team ties for dead last with the Raiders and the Texans. Oh and they are dead last in forced fumbles.
Cartman Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 If you haven't picked up on my sarcastic negativity by now...im sorry. It's a gimmick man
Cartman Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Gonna be a long night... Manning over 500 yards passing?
Failed Bridge Posted November 8, 2005 Author Report Posted November 8, 2005 Samuel would make a better safety than he would a corner. He's iffy at coverage but can hit damn hard. I'm surprised they aren't attacking Duane Starks. Either way they got 7
Cartman Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Wow... Tom Jesus Christ Brady at it again. *fap fap fap*
The Czech Republic Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 If you haven't picked up on my sarcastic negativity by now...im sorry. It's a gimmick man <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're only saying it's a gimmick because we've all called you on your annoying shit for at least a year, so you're trying to backpedal and say it's an act. Nice try
Cartman Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 er...ok...stfu? EDIT Oh my bad that's yours.
The Czech Republic Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 er...ok...stfu? EDIT Oh my bad that's yours. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wait did you burn me I can't tell
Failed Bridge Posted November 8, 2005 Author Report Posted November 8, 2005 Colts aren't going up and down the field as easily as people expected, its actually taking them some effort. If Big-Sey was playing they may not have 14 right now.
