MrRant 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Yeah what the hell is that? Oakland got completely outplayed. They shouldn't have won in any aspect at all. I think next week's Bears-Panthers game will likely determine really how good the Bears really are. I thought next week was the Philly game and then Minnesota, but now it's the other way around, I don't feel as good about playing Philadelphia because of the short week coming next Monday. I do feel better about not having to worry about Terrell Owens, though (as do the Eagles, I'm sure). I'd also say the Seahawks are more like the Padres of the NFL than the Bears are. Every year they play great against the worst division in football (sorry NFC North and AFC East, but the NFC West still has less) and choke consistently against the better and sometimes just average teams in the league on their way to their annual first round playoff loss. Essentially, all Chicago has to do is be careful with their rookie QB to not have him commit any stupid mistakes, and to keep the running game running smoothly and they can run away with the division. And Green Bay still hasn't gotten a chance to play them yet. This year's Packers-Bears games will be really great to watch. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, they did beat Dallas and should have won against Washington. Also they have NYG and PHI coming up so if they are able to beat those two I'd say they are fine.

Sass 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 The Raiders defense is busting their ass's but the offense isn't getting things done. I've been happy to see the improvement. The team should be 6-3, not 3-6.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Wow....McNabb might have just thrown the Eagles season away there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They need to pack him up. The guy is basically destroyed. His body is a wreck and I'd hope Koy Detmer is healthy enough to hand off and make a few key throws. Nothing against McNabb, his body is just not working with him anymore. Time to have the surgery. KingPK 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Yeah Al, I'd say that shovel play was a BIG ASS play in this game. I'd say we'll see Detmer next week, because there's no way McNabb can keep going like this.

Because he is not going to sit himself. He has pyscho leader complex. Reid has to tell him to sit down. Even if they come back to win, they have to sit him. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Un-fuckingbelievable. God dammit. I don't think they can win the division now without some major help. I think McNabb needs to call it a season and go get his surgery. He's hurt and he's not helping especially after the shot he took tonight. McMahon or Detmer might be able to develop a rhythm and win them a wild-card spot but McNabb won't be able to.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Time to shut down McNabb. They are three games out of the division lead (2 behind Dallas, plus they have lost to Dallas twice adding a third game back essentially), so let McMahon have a go at it since McNabb in this condition certainly can't bring them back from that. Someone please explain to me why the hell Glenn was not double teamed on that touchdown. It had been working all night and Sheppard has been lit up all season. That was not the time to put him on an island. At least Trent Cole looks like a player (I'm taking a bright spot if I can get it).
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 This team is likely to finish 7-9, personally I'd just jockey for draft position now.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 This is beautiful. They are currently going over the Williams INT play. Apparently the play they called was a play where the WR reacted based on what the defense showed. So in the 4th quarter, of a game you are leading, you call a play where the QB and your ROOKIE WR (in his 2nd game starting) have to be thinking the same thing. What a shock that that turned out bad. McNabb still should not throw that ball, but what a stupid play call.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Does Andy Reid think Westbrook is completely worthless? If he thought this poorly of him, why didn't he draft a running back?

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 No, he isn't worthless. He just isn't as highly prized as Reno Mahe. Honestly, why the fuck was Mahe on offense at all? Haven't we learned he is garbage.

I still don't know why the fuck they gave Westbrook an extension if they STILL aren't going to give him a bigger role in the offense. I know that he's still probably pretty safe, but Andy Reid's job might be in trouble over the next few years if this ship isn't righted.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 To be fair to Reid, IIRC, McNabb missed Westbrook a couple times on passes out of the backfield. And they likely limited the rushing attempts since Gordon was effective early (no need beating Westbrook up if Gordon was working) and they had him returning punts. Ripper 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 This keeps clearing the Falcons path to the super bowl. Now if they can get over this "lets prove that Vick is a good pocket QB thsu throwing off the entire balance of the team" and start playing like they can really play, they will waltz in as long as they can avoid Tampa.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Why Tampa? I know Vick struggles at times with them but I'd hardly say the Bucs are a juggernaut this year to be avoided like the plague. It's odd though, since Vick seems to have the Panthers' number. And by the way, what is all this talk about the Panthers? Yes, they squashed a horrid Jets team and punked Chris Simms out of late, but is any of that all that difficult to do? This team did just barely beat Detroit by 1, Arizona by 4, and Green Bay by 3. Hardly a dynasty in the making, or even a remotely surefire Super Bowl team. I think the Cowboys might be the best in the NFC right now. They've lost 3 games but all 3 were games they should have won.

They budgeted for next year so they'll have a ton of cap room most likely, I'd like to see them get in the top 10 for the draft and possibly grab Mario Williams from NC State or A.J. Hawk from OSU.
