Failed Bridge Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Carlos Delgado is on the trading block. So is Adam Dunn and Austin Kearns. Edit: Oh, and Carl Pavano is on the block as well.
Vern Gagne Posted November 8, 2005 Author Report Posted November 8, 2005 Fixed. Also included Jorge Posada who I read was being shopped by the Yankees.
treble Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Is Delgado seriously on the block? That's funny. And, like I said in the off-season thread, the Jays have said they won't be outbid for Burnett, and since they've got about $20 million or so to spend they're probably willing to go pretty high.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I'd trim that list a little. It's nice to be comprehensive, but that's prohibitively time consuming to respond to.
Guest Leelee Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 #2 reason I hate baseball: I can't keep up with who's on what team anymore.
Failed Bridge Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Is Delgado seriously on the block? That's funny. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup, the Mets(surprise, surprise) and Mariners are supposedly at the top of the list of teams looking to aquire him. Mets would have him play first base of course while the Mariners would lock him in at the DH position.
Vern Gagne Posted November 9, 2005 Author Report Posted November 9, 2005 I'd trim that list a little. It's nice to be comprehensive, but that's prohibitively time consuming to respond to. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fair enough. I cut it down to 20 players.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Can Delgado still play catcher? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No.
The Czech Republic Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Is Delgado seriously on the block? That's funny. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup, the Mets(surprise, surprise) THIS ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE
Mik Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I also don't think he's going anywhere. It's all talk, and if he actually gets traded - I'll be very surprised.
The Czech Republic Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I'm sure Minaya has a veritable smorgasbord of Caucasian ballplayers that he'd be willing to part with. It could be worth your while.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I'm not too hyped that the Yankees are apparently interesting in Bradley.
