dubq 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Ken Kennedy (Anderson) needs more of his fathers move set then hes legit. ... Outside of that, they just need to get better writers but as long Steph wants good bookers out and Hollywood writers in the brand will soon be owned by a Video Game Company (Yes, if you didnt heard, Yuke's Bought New Japan and I would not be suprised if THQ or EA buys the WWE if not next year, sooner before the decade is out) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who's his father? And Yukes didn't buy New Japan, they purchased the controlling stock (51%). They have no say in matches, booking, etc.
Guest Ronixis Report post Posted November 14, 2005 They say its Arn but I have my doubts. If its not the case then my fault. My bad on the Yukes thing as well, but its damn intresting...
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Just wanted to add this. I was watching tv a little while ago and an advertisement for Survivor Series came on, advertising Batista vs Eddy Guerrero for the world title. This was obviously a VERY outdated advertisement, but it was still heartbreaking to see Eddy advertised for a future show.

Guest New Jake Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Well, thats it for me. WWE will no longer have any viewing importance after this tragedy. After all the backstage termoil, booking chaos and quality declinement this goes and happens. The company cannot pick it's self up and I have high doubts that they'll even bother with a new champion. The WWE will just die. It will crumble in it's own mediocrity and just DIE! Does anyone wan't to be around to see that? Of course they'll have a new champ - Eddie wasn't even planned to get the title anyway. WWE won't die. Let's not start getting hysterical. This is tragedy but it's not the end of the wrestling business. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude, the WWE is already dead. It's been dead for the last 3 years. And yes Eddie was gonna be champion. Maybe not this week, but eventually if the fans were still with him. And I'm not getting hysterical. I'm just saying fuck it all. Fuck the brand split. Fuck the PPV's. Fuck the shows. Fuck the booking team. Fuck the entire main event roster and most of all, FUCK VINCE MCMAHON. What I'm basically saying is; Fuck the WWE.

Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Well I think we are more behind the WWE now then before because everybody who was close to Eddie is in the WWE and we feel sorry for them. RAW is Eddie was a great show and I think we will tune in next week.
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Ok, so where does the WWE go from here? Not in terms of angles and such, I mean just the company as a whole? Do they just try to go back to "normal" next week or what? It's going to be so weird watching wrestling now.
Guest Leelee Report post Posted November 15, 2005 They have to go back to normal, next week. Life must go on. But, hopefully normal as in not the horrid shit Raw has been since they moved to USA.
Guest hasbeen Report post Posted November 16, 2005 I was pleased overall by the match quality last night, looking at it away from the emotional sections which were of course the most relevant. That's with guys still affected by everything too.

They gave it a week before they dusted it off and went back at it. The only thing that changed from Owen's death was that Vince doesnt do that stunt anymore. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2005 Actually no, the Owen thing didn't really hurt them much at all in terms of the actual onscreen shows. Let's face it, Owen was doing a nothing midcard comedy act as The Blue Blazer. They just plugged Jeff Jarrett into his IC spot and it was like he was never there storywise. This isn't to cheapen Owen's death by any means, if anything it's an indictment against his misuse. The Eddie story isn't getting as much national press but it's much, much more important for WWE. Maybe not for Raw, which can for the most part go back to normal next week. But Smackdown? That show is going to have a cloud over it for a long, long time. Eddie carried that show for most of his 2002-2005 run on the show. In fact I mostly tuned in to Smackdown even in the darkest days of 2004 (with Angle as GM and JBL as champ) mainly out of loyalty to Eddie. Eddie may not have always been the #1 guy on the show storywise, but he was always the #1 guy on the show in terms of entertainment value (I believe his segment ratings reflect this). Owen's death hurt them in a symbolic nature, but not really very much in terms of actual TV product. Eddie was in the mix for the world title and might have won it. I can't think of anything Smackdown can do at this point that won't have the shadow over Eddie all over it, unless Benoit dedicates one last run to Eddie and it culminates with him winning the title. It's impossible to just ignore Eddie's death.
