Seriously Dama, what is with the hate for anything USC? This hate coming from what was the biggest homer on the boards for as long as I remember you posting. Not only were you such a homer that your team is the best and any who couldn't see it a fool, but you even were able to trump that when you jumped off the band-wagon as soon as they weren't a top contender. On top of that, you not only jumped off the band-wagon, you crashed it, set it on fire, then ran to the best team in your conference that was supposed to be a rival. Now you proudly trumpet the cause for them and bash guys who USED to go to USC, while sucking from the teat of Texas. Oh yeah, this is all suddenly because of you being a reporter and are suddenly objective. Homer to front-runner brought on by what I can only perceive as jealousy of a college team. I gotta read your shit in the College thread, but take your front-running hater b.s. elsewhere.

On topic, man the Indy/Cincy game was much fun to watch. All that offense. Being a Lions fan, I don't see that many points in a month.

He just doesnt like that Palmer actually had talent to survive in the game and become a future star of the game, while his boy Jason White is working part time @ Staples.

No Palmer is a douche-bag. He's made plenty of comments on TV for me to dislike him regardless of who he played for.

On top of that I'm still an OU fan just realistic about them this season. And on top of that I'm not a Texas fan, just a supporter of their campaign this season b/c I want to see a Big XII team get the conferene some respect by getting a national title. The conference hasn't had one since 2000, about time for another one.

So fucking get over it.

Oh and thanks to living in Oklahoma I didn't get to see the Eagles today. I know they lost but how did McMahon look? Any chance of winning more games this season? Looking good? Is he any good?

He was ok. Terrible in the 1st half, better in the 2nd. Some of his stats are padded because the Giants were just playing zone the last two drives, and were just trying to keep the Eagles on the field as long as they could to kill the clock.

Any chance that the Eagles finish at .500 or above this season with him at the helm?

Probably not, but thats just my opinion. I think the Eagles D is their biggest problem. Everytime the Eagles got close, the Giants came right back with a score. One D stop in the 4th quarter and they might have won.

McMahon is far more athletic than I;d have given him credit for. And he did seem to spark the "gulls", just not enough.

.500, I kinda doubt, but hey, Detmer could be in next week for all we know.

I'm surprised nobody has picked McMahon up and seriously worked with the kid. Give him some playing time, and he could start for someone. The Jet's could use someone like him right about now, or next year.

Giants have a tough game at Seattle next week. Luckily, Dallas plays Denver.

I agree that the Colts D got horribly exposed today. I warned everyone that a competent offensive team like the Rams could put up numbers on them (28 points). 37 points was a season high for the Bengals today, matching what they put up on the Vikings. In other words the Bengals offense usually isn't THAT great, not putting up insane pinball numbers great.

The thing is, does this really hurt the Colts badly? They've shown they can win an ugly defensive struggle, and they've now shown they can flat out outscore people too. Get out in front of them like the Rams did, it just makes Manning angry. Colts have won games in all shapes and sizes.

In fact I'd say the most impressive team I saw today was the Bears?! Their D actually IS incredibly impressive. I think if Orton continues to improve they could seriously make some noise. Incidentally, what's with the unrelenting hate for the NFC North? The AFC East is worse, the NFC West is putrid aside from Seattle, so it's not like that division is the worst ever seen.

The Colts D didn;t get exposed. They won the damn game. They are unbeaten. They were scored on at will, but their offense came back and did even more. I don;t even like the Colts, but I smell some haters.

I want to know exactly, what did 'Nati expose in Indy? It's not like Indy hasn't won these offensive shoot-outs before. They have given up alot of points in games before and won.

people were touting Indy's defense all year long, turns out they just haven't faced a super powerful offense yet and they really are the same ol Colts...difference this season is that the Pats are NOT the same ol Pats...

I know Palmer and Manning and Steve Smith and James are getting MVP consideration, but I honestly think Tiki Barber deserves some MVP love. The guy is freaking amazing. He is the thing that runs the Giant offense, and they would be fucked without him. Its weird because NY players usually get so much attention, but Tiki is so underrated imo.

Well, I'm still hoping for a tankjob this year for the Eagles, as there are a decent amount of good OLBs in the draft this year...

As much as they need an OLB, I'd be shocked to see them go that route. If they ever took a LB or RB in the first round, it would blow my mind. If they get a high enough pick, I think they go OL (have to replace Tra Thomas, his body is shot). And lord knows we don't need them taking a LB in the 2nd round. That history is just too depressing, even in the current Eagles setting.

I was thinking possibly going OL as well, I'd love to see them grab Marcus McNeill from Auburn if he's avaliable...

I'm not saying that Cincy exposed the Colts as a team, but giving up 37 to a team that quite honestly isn't an offensive juggernaut is a bit disturbing. The Bengals are a good, solid offense but only got to 30 points previously against the defenseless Titans and the Vikings (when Culpepper threw about 5 INTs). In a bizarre way it's actually a relief that the Colts get the Steelers and Jags coming up, since those will be slugfests to test that D and force them to play better.

San Diego is a good team but right now they won't even make the playoffs as wild as that sounds. Where is there room for them? You've got the Colts, Pats in the east, Steelers and Bengals will get in most likely, Denver unless they fold, and the Jags.

To be fair, Cincy's offense is pretty decent, with an elite QB and WR in Palmer and Johnson, and a decent flanker (Houshmandzadeh) and running back (Rudi J.). Their offensive line wasn't doing a really great job until tonight, where I thought Freeney, Mathis, and Simon would give the Cincy O-line fits, but they played very well and were able to put up points on Indy's defense. Don't be fooled by Indianapolis' poor showing on defense today... It was in part due to not staying on the field long enough as well as Cincy being a really, really good offense. I'd say top 5 in the league, honestly, especially if the offensive line plays as well as they did today.

This Texans team is one of the worst I've ever seen. You gotta feel bad for David Carr, but he's made some mistakes, and the way he looks his receiver dead in the eye is the football equivalent of a wrestler ducking down before a back body drop. We know what's coming.

Fortunately, I need Brett Favre to truly suck to win my fantasy game this week. I love it when things work out like that.

I just don't understand the Eagles D either. They're supposed to be a good D and they have the athletes to be great.

Oh well.

Them Bears are looking pretty good, and could use another fan!
