You can't run an angle where Jackie claims to be JJ's girl when the world knows she's married to Haas.

She could be pissed that she was promised the spot Gail has as his ringside girl. Her not being in that spot means no money and she's out of the high paying job.

Not everything is sex and shit.

Tenay as great as an X division guy but as the main guy he just can't get it done. That's why he was great in WCW in his little walk out and say move names he knew role.

And would a Northern Lariat from behind be a Southern Lariat? But since Roode is from Canada does it matter? Turning Point actually looks like a very big pay per view and Im thinking about going down to see it live.

So, what was the general consensus of this show? Compared to other Spike TV era iMPACT! episodes?

Wow what a way to keep new viewers.  Run an ending to your program that even has your regular viewers scratching their heads.

The only way to make Jeff Jarrett main events interesting is to have stuff like that happen otherwise its channel changing time after the X division match for some SNL goodness.

Umm... Typical Monty Brown match, a 3 (4?) Live Krew interview that used the word "love" WAYYYYY too much, pretty decent Sabin/Styles match complete with glowering Joe, OK cookie cutter interview with Christian until Gail Kim and America's Most Wanted (Rednecks) rudely interrupt, a pointless Hardy/Abyss match that did nothing for anyone, and a boring main event with a bad worker who's constantly getting needless pushes...and Kip James.

All in all, I turned off the recording after Sabin/Styles. I didn't think it was a bad show, I just find Jarrett unwatchable unless he's getting the crap being beaten out of him.

The only person that's going to do that is bob_barron.

SNL goodness

So people have a time machine hooked to their television?

SNL and the word "good" haven't went together since the 90's

Match 1

Monty Brown v. Helvis

Brown attacks before the opening bell and squashes Helvis in short order with a running shoulder block to get the pin. Helvis new to TNA is said to be 1/2 of the Beast of Burden tag team and looked like a pagen. Match was approximately 1 min long.

Video recap of 3lk and Kip James Drama which leads to a 3LK and Kip James segment in ring.

very powerful and emotion filled segment led by BG James.

BG says he has love for Killings and Konan but also for Kip James and he wants them to accept James into the family. BG puts it to a yes or no vote. Killings readily accepts KJ basically saying if he's good enougn for BG, he's good enough for him. Konan initially reacts as if he's not down with bringing KJ into "the family" but after BG tells Konan that he has never let him down, Konan concedes, and hugs Kip. The Four live crew is born? That name isn't working for me at all. Funniest part was when Konan ran down Kip's WWE history of being rockabilly, to DX to almost marrying some guy Palumbo.

Fans tried to crap all over segment as is their standard.

Doctor details Christopher Daniels' injuries and says due to severe concussion he is unsure when Daniels will be able to return to action.

Match 2

AJ Styles v. Chris Sabin (non title bout)

They chain wrestle to a stand still and Impact breaks for commercial. Fans immediately start with "let's go AJ, Let's for Sabin" being incredibly fucking annoying as usual.

Wicked awesome drop kick by Styles as Sabin was coming hard off the ropes.

In a spot where both wrestlers trade forearms Tenay "boy those are stiff" which is so stupid. How else should they be? How are other forearms. I thought we were done "shooting" and "swerving" and using smart talk when Russo left the industry.

At a point where AJ Styles takes control Somoa Joe wanders out with the Daniels' blood soaked towell to watch. Styles wins with the Styles clash in approximately 5 mins of TV time.

Next up a Raven and Zybsko segment where Larry says he has a house of fun match for Raven next week in which he made a few changes. Raven's promos seem very uninspired and rather dull as of late.

Shane Douglas interviews Christian Cage. Christian says he will face Monty Brown at Turning Point. Gail Kim interupts Christian and says he picked the wrong side, before Christian can respond AMW wonders over and says there is no way he will ever get a title shot at Jeff Jarrett.

Match 3

Abyss v. Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy is so weird. .

Match is pretty weak through out. James Mitchell slides Abyss a chair and as Abyss goes to use it against Hardy the lights go out. Lights come back on and Sabu is at ring side with barb wire wrapped chair. Abyss freaks which allows Hardy to get the pin via a swinging neck breaker in even though Abyss wasn't really hurt at anypoint in the match. approximately 7 minutes.

A nice get to know Rhino up close interview on how he wants to be Champion which was very good I thought.

Match 4

Jeff Jarrett vs. Kip James. (non title bout)

Gail Kim looks amazing. The entire Four Live Crew brings Kip James out the ring. Kip James holds up 4 fingers? umm sorry guy but that's been taken by a little group called the Four Horsemen. Perhaps you've heard of them dipshit. James takes the mic and says if your not down with the Four Live Crew I got 4 words you, "I'm Kip James bitch" Kip James may be the lamest wrestler of all time.

During commercial break The Four Live Crew was sent to the back.

At a point where James was in control and Jarrett had to escape to the outside Jackie Gayda comes out and confronts Jarrett. Tenay screams what is jackie Gayda doing in TNA even though she's been signed and on the front page of the TNA website for over a month (sigh) Jeff seems upset and tells her its not what you think. Gayda then goes after Gail Kim it what appears to be a jealous rage. Jackie and Gail end up going at it and Jeff has to seperate them. When Jarrett returns the ring Kip James takes control and seemingly has the match won. Bobby Rhoode of Team Canada then hits the ring breaks a hockey stick over James's back. Not sure where the ref is at this time but he doesn't see this but then is there to count the pin for Jarrett (see how stupid over booking looks written down) BG James then runs in attacks Jarrett which quickly turns into all of Team Canada vs. all of The Four Live Crew. The match was about 10 minutes long. I don't get the finish at all, why not just have the match thrown out? Does TNA really think they are doing me a favor with an convulted pianfall ending like that. Also there was absolutely no reason to bring 4LK and Team Canada into it. The story was Jackie making here TNA debut and what's going on with her and Jarrett. Instead of that being something that really stood out by disrupting the match so it couldn't finish its gets gobbled together with another team canada, 4LK brawl. Jackie did look pretty good, well her boobs anyways.

The Good: I thought everything but the resulting name of the Four Live Crew segment was done well and the Rhino upclose segment was very good. Also I like that TNA has non title bouts, which makes the title defenses seem more important. Of course the champions should be over enough to where they don't need to wrestle as much but it's a start.

The Bad: The wrestling tonight was very uninspired and frankly off putting. I thoughtnot one match but the Monty Brown squah seemed the least bit believable. I think the problem is TNA's desire to do 4 matches in the hour. This makes the matches shorter which would be fine if they were squashes with enchancement talent but its hard to sell me on the match being a hard fought back and forth battle when it lasts all of 5 minutes. This really hurt the Sabin v. Styles match which instead of being something people could take notice of, become just a forgetable nothing match with some cool but ultimately forgetable spots. A case of trying to do to much where simplicity would work best.

The Ugly: Kip James holding up 4 fingers, Abyss going from being unbeatable to losing 2 back to back matches because he saw barb wire. The already discussed main event ending.

Don't TNA fans know that Gayda is married to Haas?  Why would Jarrett be banging her?

Edit: Frigid beat me to it.

I wonder if the American public knew that JR Ewing didnt really fuck all those sweet debutantes on tv back in the day. ;)

Good show, though wasn't enough good wrestling as with other episodes. Like others have said it was more story driven, which I guess is okay if you're going into a big ppv, which I think it could be. The Rhino package was great, if TNA could do it for some guys like Sabin, then that would give fans more reason to care about them.

Tenay yelling "My God!" when they went to commercial after the 4LK segment was awful. And I don't usually mind Tenay.

Abyss shouldn't have gone done to just a Twist of Fate. Even with the weak chairshot, it would've been nice to end it with a Swanton.

No Rhyno run-in to end the show?

Only smarks know that Gayda is Haas' wife, so whatever. It's going to be a crappy angle though.

This show was actually as bad as the spoilers made it sound.

-The Raven/Zbysko feud has been boring the hell out of me.

-Kip James vs. Jeff Jarrett in the main-event.

-Jackie Gayda feuding with Gail Kim and Jeff Jarrett. Who fucking cares?!

-The show ends with Jarrett searching for Gail Kim instead of Rhyno doing a run-in to brawl with Jarrett. WTF?!

-Monty Brown squashes yet another jobber. Yay.

-4LK. The worst conclusion to this conflict between 3LK and Kip James when it should have been the New Age Outlaws reforming, The Truth going solo once again, and Konnan debuting his Hispanic stable possibly by next week.

-AJ vs. Sabin was a decent match, but TNA needs to eventually quit treating Sabin like WWE treats Shelton Benjamin.

-Morphoplex is one of the most annoying commercials of all time.

That Rhino video reminded me of the AJ Styles videos people were masterbating over.

"OMG, that video package was sooooo awesome, there is no way they can't give him the title now!!!!!!"

The video packages are ok, but jesus chill. Hardly a way to hype a match, it's more of a way to build a character, which is something you should do way before putting them in a main event role.

I liked it because Rhyno looks more intimidating when he's rockin' a beanie, leather jacket and he's clean-shaved instead of wearing a single with bad tattoo's exposed and taunting with nub arms.
