Guest Report post Posted December 19, 2005 That Joe Gibbs wave at Bill Parcells was funny. Parcells walked straight to the locker room after the game.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 Joe Gibbs was getting mad cause the PA guy kept playing "Momma don't let your kids grow up to be Cowboys" after every play in the final minutes, because he felt it was rubbing the win in, classy guy, contrasted with Parcells who runs off the field while Gibbs is trying to wave him down to shake his hand. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 That was pretty great, that whole game. Hell yes it was. I have been waiting my whole lifetime basically for this type of domination over the Cowboys. Sure it happened at times when I was five years old or even at 12 during their last superbowl year, but as a teenager and grown man, I have yet to witness what I saw today. DMann2003 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 Have a question for everyone here across the board, but being a Cincy fan through all the years and having memories of Superbowl XXIII watching the 49's come back (great as it was) and dash the Bengals in 89, to see this team, constantly called (including by myself) as 'the Bungles' shape up over the last 2 years and turn out this season and claim a playoff appearence for the first time in 15 years, I'm curious as to what is everyone's opinion of the Bengals playoff wise and how they've done this year? I never see much Bengal talk around here (outside the couple of diehard fans here, sorry I'm blanking on the names).
Guest Report post Posted December 19, 2005 It's about matchups for them. They can put out Denver, New England and Jacksonville in the playoffs, not too sure if they can beat Pittsburgh again.
mike546 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 That was pretty great, that whole game. Won't happen to the Giants hopefully. For one, the Giants can protect Eli. Two, our RB averages more than one yard per carry.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 I don't think Cinci could beat NE right now. Their defense is extremely young and I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them start to get gassed. With the way NE is defending the run that would put it all on Palmer's shoulders and I don't believe he's quite ready yet. He lit up the Colts' defense but I still believe the Patriot's defense is much better than the Colts'. Rosevelt Colvin appears to finally be back to his pre-injury form along with the returns of Tedy Bruschi and Richard Seymour and the emergence of Ellis Hobbs...well this defense is playing better every game. Rookie safety James Sanders is starting to shine as well, and he's pretty fresh having missed a portion of the earlier part of the season. Although possible, I think it would be a HUGE upset if the Bengals were to beat the Patriots in the playoffs. I don't believe they'll end up facing them though as I have the Bengals losing to Pitt in the first round.
Guest Report post Posted December 19, 2005 I don't really know if New England would be able to stop the pass. The offensive line of the Bengals did a magnificent job of protecting Palmer against the vaunted Pittsburgh blitz scheme, and it wouldn't surprise me if they could do the same against New England. The Pats secondary would worry me, as I don't think they have anyone that could cover Chad Johnson and TJ Houshmanzadeh. Their safeties could also be beaten deep, provided Palmer was well protected. NE wouldn't have any problems getting the ball down the field although the Bengals defense is great at getting interceptions. You are right on the point that Cincy wouldn't be able to run the ball, and that if Palmer wasn't well protected, they wouldn't be able to win the game. I think it would be a shootout and an extremely close game.
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 I think Cincy would definitely beat New England. I'm still not that impressed with New England. The win today was nice but it was at home in freezing weather, and Tampa isn't as good as their record would indicate anyway. Palmer would have a field day with that secondary. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 So yeah Bears might as well put Grossman back in, because I sure as hell don't want that bastion of suckiness to lead the Bears to a possible playoff run.

JangoFett4Hire 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 Everyone's going on and on about how SD exposed a weakness to Indy. OMG, Schottenheimer showed the AFC how to beat the Colts in a playoff game. Obviously this was not a playoff game, otherwise Schottenheimer and company would have lost. He's the biggest choker this side of Tony Dungy come playoff time. Everyone know the best way to beat the Colts in the playoffs... is to be the Patriots!

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 Washington's record in the NFC is pretty impressive, and makes me forget the losses to the NFC West a little more. Still losing to a crappy Raiders team hurt, as we would be one game back of the NFC East had we won....oh well.
mike546 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 I hate the Pats, but 7 sacks is still 7 sacks, no matter what team its against. Beside the Texans actually.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2005 (edited) And Orton is benched. Maguire is a real clown.
