Which is the best TNA DVD?

Recommended Posts

I heard a Jarrett DVD is on the way. I'd hold out for that one.

I'm looking to buy a TNA DVD at the local Best Buy, either the Best of the X Division or Final Resolution 2005. Any recommendations from the long-time fans?

The X division one is probably pretty good, I'd take that over Final Resolution.

Actually, you may want to check Wal-mart.com for the TNA Anthology set. Its got Victory Road, Turning Point, and Lockdown for $20. Most of the other TNA DVDs are listed at $25 each, so thats a hell of a deal.

If you can track it down, get yourself a copy of the first "Best of the X-Division" DVD that was released in late '03. Has all of the early X-Division stuff that mattered, including the (mightily fucking impressive) debut of Chris Sabin, as well as a man TNA was dumb enough to release who happened to be their best heel: the Notorious K-I-D, Kid F'N Kash.

I read somewhere they actually are releasing a Jarrett DVD. I will save a couple months of paychecks and make sure it doesn't fail.

I'm surprised there wasn't a Jarrett DVD already. If anything, it would be a good retrospective at the recent history of the NWA World Title.

One of the first DVDs TNA put out, back when they were only sold on their website, was a "Best of the Title Matches" DVD. It was a pretty good release, and it had all the major title matches through AJ's first reign as champ in the summer of 2003, along with the major tag titles matches through the first AMW/XXX cage matches. I'd actually rank that up there with being one of TNA's best "Best of" DVDs.

I'd recommend "Phenomenal: The Best of AJ Styles".

As for your choice, I'd probably go with "Final Resolution". I remember enjoying that show when I saw it.

AJ and likely Daniels if it's available to get yet. The new X-Division DVD doesn't give me the same vibe that the old one did, maybe because the new one is just Styles, Daniels, Sabin, Williams, and Joe. They're the only ones that did anything in the past year worth of actual note in the X-Division, really, whereas the first year or so had a shitload of pretty damn good matches.

I was a bit let down that the advertised Johnny Devine match listed on the back of the X-Division DVD does not exist at all on the set, but otherwise I was quite happy with it. I saw it at a Best Buy one day and it was the last TNA DVD there.

None of them are good. Save your money for something that doesn't suck.

I just want to say that I volunteered to be a moderator for the TNA folder and never got a response. :)

I'd also like to say that I volunteered for TNA mod.

While MikeSC was a friend of mine on here, this poor troll isn't doing the schtick right. Mike would've at least said what exactly was bad about the DVD and not just make some blanket statements like "none of them are good."
