Randy Orton: "Fuck The Military"

Recommended Posts

Orton over-reacted plain and simple. As a wrestler your going to be heckeld, heel or face you will be heckled. It comes with being in the buissness. I haven't even had a match yet, but I've been heckled for cleaning up blood and running music, that doesn't mean I'm going to get up and throw a bloody rag at someone or go off and turn off the stero and challenge some guy to a fight outside in the parking lot. Orton got heckled by someone who used something that Orton and the WWE put into the public when Orton first came on the scene and Orton over-reacted. Orton if anything should have let the comment just roll off his shoulder. You seriously can't tell me that this is the first time anyone has ever heckled Orton about being AWOL. Orton and the guard both over-reacted to nothing at all.

The cops and owners were in on it.

No shit.

All that prep work to humour some guys in a restaurant.

I don't know whether that's impressive or sad.

I vote sad.

Showcase is right- CM Punk running after fans is always hilarious.

cameron chaos overreacting to Orton and Jindrak having some fun is pretty funny.

How am I overeacting by saying it's stupid to cause a public disturbance just for the sake of a few people in a restaurant? It is.

I'm not calling for their heads on a plate here so I don't really get the overreaction you claim I am having, but I can't imagine any other kind of managment in any other company in any other line of work being pleased with co-workers staging fights in front of customers to entertain themselves. If you can think of any jobs where that would be fine, please feel free to enlighten me.

As for having fun, I personally would rather go rent out a top of the line car, speed around the city picking up women and then go clubbing rather than take the time to inform the local authorities and owners of the estblishment that I'm planning to play-fight with my friend for a few fans sitting at another table but I guess everyone has different standards.

My Lord, they were leaving the bar when it happen. They behaved themselves all night and it may even of been last call when they played around for a minute or two outside with everyone. Including the cops who were there to escort them out already.

They didn't break any laws, they didn't cause a huge scene, it never even made the papers. Someone who was there that night jumped on the Internet the next day and told the story and people like you made a big deal out of it.

The restaurant that they caused a 'public disturbance' is set up on a hill, well off of a major highway leading outside of Boston. There isn't much public to be disturbed. The restaurant is also frequented by the wrestlers (and a lot of "real" athletes) every time that they're in the area, so the restaurant takes care of them each time they come through town and makes good money off of them & the fans that come in to see or meet them. (at that time of night, it'd be safe to presume that at least half of the clientele at the restaurant were wrestlers and wrestling fans)

And while I agree that cruising around and picking up girls would be more fun than fake fighting with friends, I have to say that doing the former is more likely to cause problems for the WWE than the latter. Between the potential issues of going to bars (e.g. HBK getting his ass-kicked by those marines) and the potential for sexual harrassment lawsuits (from women that were picked up and have a chance to make some money off a BS story), the WWE would probably prefer that their empolyees stick to nights out with the boys than going off galavanting and actually enjoying the cities that they're in.

I'm really sorry I don't put a lot of effort into posting on a wrestling messageboard to impress others, I didn't know I was meant to Charles Dickens "as a poster", whatever that may mean. I just thought this was a place to discuss wrestling now and then, I didn't realise I was being graded along the way. I'll make sure to take your comments on board, person I don't know at all. Maybe one day I'll be your messageboard hero and you'll forgive me.

As for making a big deal, my initial post was sarcastic, how exactly does sarcasm express a serious attitude towards the matter? I just think staging fights for whatever reason is stupid unless there's money involved. I didn't expect that so many would consider it a perfectly acceptable social activity but whatever floats your boats.

NL5xsk1, I'm not exactly up on the geography of small American diners so cheers for the info. To an extent it explains why they did it since it was a relatively safe remote location, however I still would prefer my idea.

For years? What the Hell? Are you Big Brother?

Also to overreact (note the spelling), I'd have to genuinely care. I don't, I just find it odd this one guy gets away with so much while others get fired or released for less, like Rhyno or Christy. My initial post was sarcastic, how exactly does sarcasm express a serious attitude towards the matter?

Can you go start a topic elsewhere to troll and insult me? This thread's just getting more and more off track.

I wish the internet was around before the 90's, and back when a lot of fans though wrestling was 100% legit. I can just imagine reports of a wrestler doing something like this, and what everyone would be saying about it.

A fan was a dick, Orton bitched at him verbally, and that was that. I think what Orton said was fucking stuipd, but that's about all.

"I HATE THE MILITARY AND I HATE YOU!"

Thanks for the clarification of the Orton/Rochelle story. I just now remembered that Orton told Rochelle:"I hate Canada and I hate you!" instead of "Screw Canada!"
