Matt Young 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Holy Shit MNM are only 1 year in WWE and are 3 time champs. Thats got to be a new record. Nope. Edge and Christian, the team MNM reminds me of most and the only teamI like better from all of WWF/E, won their first Tag Team Title on 4/2/00 and their 7th and final title on 4/1/01. Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Cena is winning the Chamber match. He jobbed to Angle tonight, so he's going to win the Chamber match most likely. But HBK has a big chance of winning here as well. They might have him lose the match because he entered at #1, HBK blames Vince, bla bla, match at WrestleMania. OR HBK overcomes all odds and turns Heel and wins the belt what I would love. But I'm not seeing it happen. Cena is retaining
Karc 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Holy Shit MNM are only 1 year in WWE and are 3 time champs. Thats got to be a new record. None of which matters because Melina is getting the main event push. How sad is that? There's Mercury, Nitro, Mysterio, Henry, and Batista, and Melina is getting a bigger push than all of them combined.

Karc 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 They are sticking HBK in first because he is going to have to carry the entire match (along with Angle in his 30 percent state). Usually Jericho did it.

nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 it amazes me they keep the title on this noob, no one gives a shit about john cena. end of arguement Yeah, you're right: with a convincing arguement like that, how could anyone even bother with a retort? AWESOME! Just because you'll all be bitching and bitching about it for months because they're destroying the career of some small and uncharismatic mid-carder for life. Small? "Benjamin should be on teh roids, then he'd be awesome!" Jebus, man, Benjamin is normal sized ... how you could say he's small is beyond me.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 the arguements against Shelton never make sense...dude was red hot for a good portion of 04 and showed signs here and there in 05 before, for whatever reasons, the WWE cut his legs out from under him. Guest DuDe Report post Posted January 3, 2006 I guess that whole, "if they let Cena rap and be 'edgy' again he'll get over" thing is dead, considering he did it tonight still got the shit booed out of him. The problem with Cena "being edgy" is that it primarily consists of him telling other wrestlers in a not too sublte way that they take it up the ass. Sure, it can be edgy, but only when your entire crowd is 15 year olds. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed Edge's segment, although he should've elbow dropped the car for maximum effect. When he took the guy out and started chopping him I was in stitches. Cena had a damn fine blade job, I'm giving it a 0.9 on a Flair scale. Oh, and I eagerly await Trips' title reign, I'm freakishly marking out for his promos.

Sure, it can be edgy, but only when your entire crowd is 15 year olds. That wasn't his shtick when he was heel though. When he was first starting to get over his raps weren't references to his opponent being a homo. They were actually intense promos that just happened to rhyme and Cena did them with a more edgier MOP-type delivery. You could actually be into hip hop and think, "this guy is good". The same NY crowd that was booing him last night was actually cheering then. Now his raps are just nursery rhymes with gay references done to be cute and the audience has turned on him. At this point, I don't even know if they could make him edgy again without a full-fledged heel turn. It would probably just be in their best interest to just let him drop the whole hip hop image and go a more serious intense route with the character.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Here's what I don't get: At this point, why are the kids and girls still cheering Cena? After seeing him get roundly booed for the past few months on Raw you'd think it'd become almost a spiral of silence situation where they'd give it up. Cena getting booed this badly is a mess for WWE. In terms of Raw they have put all their eggs in the Cena basket in terms of him being the top face....and he's tanked at that job miserably. Raw is a hugely heel dominated roster already though. Can they afford to do a formal Cena heel turn? And further, if they do turn Cena who in the hell are they going to get to be the top face? LJSexay 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 I liked RAW. I may disagree with half of the things this company has done in the past 4 - 5 years.. but I can always find something that entertains me on this show. The only true problem is - how do we make it known what we *do* tune in for, and what turns us the hell off? Feedback emails and sites are double-edged swords, because well.. just about ANYBODY can say anything, and then the company is left with a ton of HE RULZ~! feedback. Where are they supposed to go with anything they're told when the suggestions come from often-times polarized audiences?
naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Here's what I don't get: At this point, why are the kids and girls still cheering Cena? After seeing him get roundly booed for the past few months on Raw you'd think it'd become almost a spiral of silence situation where they'd give it up. Kids tend to cheer for who they're supposed to. Unless Cena does something against another one of their favorites the majority of them will likely continue to keep cheering him. Most women cheer for the guys they think are "hot" and don't care about storylines as we've learned when the men in the crowd in the past almost unanimously turned on guys like HBK & Orton. If a backlash ever comes against Batista, you'll see this split will be the same. I also think some people regardless of age and gender get REALLY defensive if everyone doesn't like one of their favorites and that's pretty clear because the "Let's Go (insert Cena's opponent)" chant always comes before the "Let's Go Cena" one and the replies get louder only when the initial chant does. I guess this just reminds me of a time a few years ago when I was dating a girl whose younger sister was in love with that shitty pop group O-Town and I made a remark about how much they sucked, which led her to yell at me, start crying and thus hate me for the remainder of the time I was involved with her sister. Had I not said anything we would have still been on different sides of the issue, but once I expressed my opinion she reacted.
Guest Leelee Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Yes, kids will cheer for who WWE tells them too. Just go to some mark boards, and you'll see this to be true. They could put Masters vs. Carlito as a World Title feud, and they'll agree. WWE is still popular enough to get away with this. Some girls like Cena. He's an attractive, charismatic guy. But, it's wrong to group all females into this category. That would be like saying all males are stupid because the Diva Search has existed for 2 years, and Lita remains employed. benoit4hor 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Actually it seemed that way to me too. Allthough Shelton seemed bigger then usual, but perhaps it was because he was in the ring with a smaller looking Masters.
