JJ Johnson Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I'm so glad those damn Cowboys didn't make it either. I love what Philly did with the basement, by the way.
2GOLD Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 (edited) Is the ruling down by contact? Giants get one, Panthers get one. Least the officials have been consistently shitty in this game. Edited January 8, 2006 by 2GOLD
Damaramu Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I'm so glad those damn Cowboys didn't make it either. I love what Philly did with the basement, by the way. Shut up. I've been trying to forget about that. *takes a swig off his Eagles flask*
mike546 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 And I think that'll end it. Thanks for showing up, Eli.
2GOLD Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 It's not over. You still have Tiki and maybe this will spark Eli to wake the fuck up. Three scores when your defense has been doing a great job isn't that hard.
mike546 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 (edited) Way to choke, Eli. Wow has he blown up quickly. Edited January 8, 2006 by mike546
Hawk 34 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 It's over now. So much for this game being the "best game of the weekend" like many were predicting.
mike546 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I really should have expected this. A team without its top 5 LBs, without its best corner, with sucky replacements, and a 2nd year QB in his first playoff start.
2GOLD Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I really should have expected this. A team without its top 5 LBs, without its best corner, with sucky replacements, and a 2nd year QB in his first playoff start. But the defense has done a GREAT job. You can't blame them for any of this when they have been stuck on the field almost all game because the offense can't do dick. So the "sucky replacements" actually have done the best that could be asked of them holding down the Panthers. It's your normal starters on offense who are failing miserably.
Failed Bridge Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 The defense has been on the field all day because they can't stop the run. The Panthers keep getting drives of around 5min. I think its safe to say that the Giants will be looking at LBer help in the draft.
mike546 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 (edited) I'm not angry at the D. I'm just saying it's hard to win games when arguabley 2/3rds of your D is either a replacement or sucks. Eli has sucked majorly. But it's not completley his fault. He's gotten no protection, and the recievers aren't getting open. edit: FFMS, the Giants have great rush d when healthy. Pierce, Emmons and Torbor were playing awesome, hell, even Chase Blackburn did a great job until getting injured. Thee three LBs starting today are Kevin Lewis (released in training camp, just signed two weeks ago), Alonzo Jackson (signed off Eagles practice squad I think), and Jay Foreman (signed last week off practice squad). Failed Bridge Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 After all the injuries sustained though they'll be looking for LB help. I'm not saying in the first round, but they'll be looking to add quality depth so they don't have to bring guys in off the street.
Failed Bridge Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 That's what the first couple rounds are for. Are you seriously thinking that after all the injuries suffered to the LBers this season that the Giants won't pick up one or two in the draft? It would just be idiotic not to add more depth there after seeing what has happened.
mike546 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I think they obviously will at some point in the draft, but at this point, I'd think they use their first round pick on a CB.
Failed Bridge Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Might not be one worth taking at that point. There will be tons of quality O-Tackles though and that line could use a bit of tinkering.
Damaramu Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I love seeing that little douche bag Eli go down. Just looking at Peyton you think "man that guy's a dork" but when you see Eli you can tell he was the douche-bag frat guy type of the family.
2GOLD Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Eli is gonna be hearing bust talk in NYC this week. He's not even close to a bust. Well, he kinda is but he kinda isn't. He's just a decent QB right now who struggled a little. Though if he pulls this next year...oh man.
Guest Smues Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 How great. The Giants go 8-1 at home during the season then get killed in the playoffs. That's a good start to my day. And 2 of the 4 playoff teams I don't want in the superbowl are out. Huzzah.

He's just a decent QB right now who struggled a little. Though if he pulls this next year...oh man. As much as I dislike the guy......it's his seocnd year. Why would they call him a bust yet? That's like my mom complaining about Alex Smith b/c he didn't play like Big Ben his rookie season.
Brett Favre Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 ..Last hope for fun game of the weekend. Not so fun playoffs thus far.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I love seeing that little douche bag Eli go down. Just looking at Peyton you think "man that guy's a dork" but when you see Eli you can tell he was the douche-bag frat guy type of the family. You're weird. Also, Palmer's leg gets bent in all sorts of awful ways on the second offensive play. Bengals are probably done, much as I like Kitna.
Hawkius Maximus Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Palmer's knee is fucked after that. Tha twas PAINFUL to watch. Edit: Annnnd another one bites the dust apparently.
LooseCannon25 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I hope Plamer isn't gone for the rest of the playoff. Now my friend is giving me shit about The giant loss, and he's got some nerve being that he's a fuckin Raider fan. Oh yeah, and Eli looked absolutely lost today. It doens't help that Shockey and Burress keep throwing fits on the field like a couple of little bitches whenever the ball isn't thrown to them.
Mik Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Remember when I said Eli was further along than Palmer at equal points in their career? Yeah, I'm an idiot.
Failed Bridge Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 If Palmer's lucky then all it will be is a ligament strain and he just misses this game. That's the best case scenerio, so you know he took it bad. How long until a Bengals player tries to chop Big Ben's leg down? I forsee somebody trying and a possible fight breaking out. Great game from a neutral fan just wanting to be entertained.
Failed Bridge Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 and it looks as if Quincy Morgan injured his ankle on the kickoff return.
DMann2003 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 If ever the phrase "gut-check time" was more apropos, it is for the Bengals today.
