For a sixth rounder's not too bad, but Ramsey is the very definition of a mediocre quarterback that's never been able to "take the next step" in terms of flashing potential and not coming through with it.

Brunell will be done after this season as a Redskin, and my boy Jason Campbell will take over. I watched him in Auburn and thought he's gonna be a damn good QB in the pros.

But Ramsey to the Jets could work out, espically if Pennington starts to stink it up,

He's never really had a chance. He got killed behind the offensive line when Spurrier was in Washington, and Gibbs didn't give him an opportunity either, going for a veteran.

But wasn't Ramsey named the starter headed into the season seeing as how Brunell sucked it hard in the preseason last year? He played only a couple games to my recollection, got injured, and Brunell took over and helped them get to the playoffs, being a damage control quarterback rather than anything good like he used to be.

I hope for the Jets' sake that Pennington isn't injured and put in a position where they have to play Ramsey for the rest of the season. Ramsey's shown to be a good backup, at the very least, but not much more. Jets aren't exactly the sort of team that can rely on their defense and ball control to win games, either like the `Skins.

Again, I still think it's a good deal, but not a steal. Just one that makes sense for both sides.

VX, Ramsey was NEVER given a chance. He played in 4 games last year, starting one. He had 1 TD, 1 interception on 25 attempts (15 which were completed) for a 95.3 rating. If Gibbs was really going to give him a chance, he would. He didn't and he won't. So Ramsey is gone to NY. Where if Chad gets injured or demoted, Ramsey CAN take them to the playoffs.

And his combined two previous seasons had him playing in 20 games for a 75.3 QB rating, throwing 24 touchdowns, 20 interceptions, and 3700 yards. If I recall correctly, the 03 season was under Spurrier's pass happy offense, and in 04 was when Gibbs took over. Again, I'm not saying he's a bad quarterback, but I don't see this incredible potential in him that you're seeing. In the amount of games that would equate to a little over a full season, he's shown to be quite average with few flashes of potential. There's a reason why they drafted Jason Campbell last year rather than sticking with him as their young guy being groomed to take over. Also a reason why they signed Brunell, just in case Ramsey stunk up the joint. In reality, Brunell wasn't much better, but he played the damage control role better despite the fact that Ramsey has a better arm. He's worth a sixth rounder, and he's a solid backup, yes, but the Jets need Pennington to be their guy. Stating that the Jets can ride Ramsey's arm to the playoffs is a bit much.

Mickey Loomis says stop talking about him. Yeah he told me that. (I'm the guy in the hat)

(apparently these guys ARE easy to find)

How did you and that apparently mentally challenged and/or drunk kid manage to get so close to the living legend Mickey Loomis!?!?! He must have been inbetween bodyguards. I hear he has to keep firing them because they keep leaking vital Saints' organization information. That kind of info is very valuable on the open market you know.

Did he give you the latest scoop for you to inform us all on TheSmartMarks.com?

What vitamin really wanted to ask, and what I'm sure everyone else is dying to know as well, did Mickey give you an update on his attempt to procure that long sought after date with Brett Favre for him?

I know this is a long while from now, but is anybody not looking foward to Peyton vs Eli next year beside me? Its going to get a shitload of hype and you just know its going to be the first primetime game of the year.

Let me predict the meltdown for next year.

TO will run a bad route which leads to an interception. Parcells will call him over and tell him to get his head into the game...and that will be the end of that marriage.

Don't forget the "TO calls Bledsoe soft and questions his sexuality" clause of the TO destruction.

TO is going to be a one season player. He doesn't hold together mentally for more than one season. Dallas would be smart to just use him for a season and then trade him for a first or early second rounder to draft a receiver.

Have fun Dallas. It's not like you have much for him to destroy anyway.

I can't wait until we play the Iggles and TO burns them for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns

I can't wait until T.O. rips everyone on the team in the national media and is suspended for the last month of the season.

For some weird reason, I think TO would get along great with Parcells.

Jerry fucking Jones~!!

I love it.

The contract is for 3 years, but the way it's set up, it's essentially a one year deal three times over, which means they can cut him anytime after the first year if he becomes a pain in the ass.

I don't care if it's a 1, 2, or 3 year deal with however many out clauses--signing TO is a bad move and will not be worth it unless they win the Super Bowl next year. And even then I don't like it all that much.

I won't cheer TO regardless of what he does. I don't even care if he catches the winning TD in the Super Bowl. He's not worth the emotional investment.

Go Cowboys...fuck TO.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable meltdown from him next year or the year after, and considering how Bledsoe got into it with Keyshawn last year, he'll fire right back at Owens.

The fun thing is that stuff will definitely be getting thrown at him at the Linc next year. Hopefully the game isn't in December with snow on the ground.

Parcells made Terry Glenn & Keyshawn seem like much more coachable as players. If anyone can reign in TO, it's him.
