Guest JMA Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Stewart is very clever and creative. He's funny to me for those reasons. The Oscars getting Stewart to host their shitty show probably caused them to all do back flips of joy. Agreed. Stewart is one of the few entertainers that I find to be consistently good.

It's like he says what we're all thinking!....in baffled facial expression form!
Guest JMA Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Finally, a decent host. Chris Rock wasn't too bad, though. But Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal are beyond old news now, and shouldn't host ever again. Especially Whoopi. They're finally starting to use people that the general public cares about. To me, the use of former hosts seems to imply a lack of new ideas.
Special K Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Stewart's OK. He was a funny stand-up back in the day, too. However, the Steves were the real money in TDS.
Guest JMA Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 However, the Steves were the real money in TDS. Indeed they were. I still have fond memories of "Even Stevphen."
Ravenbomb Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Ed Helms has some good stuff, too. I liked his report during the Evolution week. "Enjoy the sites of *forgot the name of the town*, with the knowledge that it's all just a reinactment. Because if it were real...it would be fucking terrifying"
BlackFlagg Posted January 6, 2006 Author Report Posted January 6, 2006 They should've let Colbert take This Week in God to his show
Placebo Effect Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 They should've let Colbert take This Week in God to his show Meh. It wouldn't make sense for 'Colbert Report' Stephen Colbert to do 'This Week in God.' It's an entirely different shtick.
