LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 So, I figured I would start an official thread for Grandma's Boy, and may be the only poster in it considering the crowd when I went to an 8 o'clock show tonight. This week more people will probably see Munich and Hostel, but I figured I'd throw in a thread. Trailers attached before were MI:3, Benchwarmers (Spade/Schneider/Heder/Lovitz), Big Momma's House 2 and Ice Age 2 that I can remember. Only one I hadn't seen before was Benchwarmers and although not looking as funny as I had hoped, I'll probably still see. In my opinion, it was alright, as known by the preview, the usual background people show up for more of the main parts, along with stand up and gay rollerblader on Reno 911 Nick Swardson. I had some laughs, didn't realize it was a pot comedy, not that mattered. Overall nothing to go out of your way for like the R-Rated comedies of the summer, but enjoyable enough if you are bored and not looking for anything serious. And to tie into this being a wrestling board, Kevin Nash makes a brief appearance and lots of wrestling stuff shows up in the movie (although not discussed). Items include: A Benoit action figure, A William Regal action figure, the Eugene teddy bear, Randy Orton bobblehead, another bobblehead I can't remember (I think the Undertaker), I think some Stacy posters and on Nick Swardson's computer desktop, he has a picture of John Cena with his own head photoshopped on. I am wondering if Nash got in with Sandler's gang during Longest Yard and will appear in more, I was surprised to see him walk in during the first scene. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Speaking of trailers, I saw the ultimate in "holy shit, I am there" casting David Hasselhoff, Christopher Walken and Adam Sandler in "Click". I'm fucking sold. Add in the use of "Everybody wants to rule the world" as the trailer music and I was hooked.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Click looks awful but Hasslehoff and Walken does sound awesome. I'd see Grandma's Boy if Norm was cameoing, but he's not so I won't. He is in Benchwarmers I believe.

Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 I've been to the movies twice in a row this week and had to endure the Benchwarmers trailer both times. I'm too scared to ever go back to the movies again. Just awful. Even worse, the second night I saw a preview for Date Movie and had to see Jon Heder playing Napoleon Dynamite twice. What a joke. He is in Benchwarmers I believe. So you saw Bigalow two? Yea, Norm was hilarious in it. The jab they took at him during the credits was awesome.
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Three sequels in a group of trailers? Yikes. Yeah, it was pretty rough, however it hit me today that I neglected my favorite trailer of the night. They also had the trailer for V for Vendetta, which was the first time I saw the trailer on it. Special K 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 My friend works as an EA game-tester/starving actor in LA. He's stoked to see it, since they interviewed his office, for whatever reason. HE says the Phillipino hooker exchange came from his boss.
