I think they'll give the title to Christian here. Of course, you may still have Sting vs Jarrett in the main event at the following PPV, with Christian vs someone else in the undercard.

I could see Christian win it, and then offer Sting a shot for coming back to tag with him against JJ and Brown. Then JJ screws Sting somehow to cost him that match, and we get JJ vs. Sting at the PPV after that, and maybe Christian defending against Abyss?

or they could have Killings turn and have Christian/Killings. That would probably be a pretty decent match to be honest.

 

The problem is that Jarrett is really the only main event heel at the moment. I don't buy Abyss as a contender since he's had back and forth feuds with both Jeff Hardy and Sabu. Samoa Joe is obviously at Main Event status already but there's no way they wanna blow Christian/Joe just yet. Especially since they've already done Joe/Styles.

 

You know what would be neat to see? Sonny Ono brought in as a manager for Kensuke Shinzaki (Hakushi) and have them portray him as a champion from the far east. When you don't have enough Main Event heels then you can always turn to Japan!

PWI says Christian's getting the shot because Sting's not doing the next PPV.

 

The word going around backstage is that Sting will not be appearing at the next PPV so expect Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett as a top match along with the next chapter in the AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels feud. Based on the reaction to the finish of the Team 3D vs. America's Most Wanted match at the PPV this past weekend, I would expect a followup to that as well.

According to ObsessedWW that's his wrestling name while the one I put was his real name. You would need Sonny as every heel Japanese wrestler has to have a heel asian manager since according to kayfabe none of them can speak a lick's worth of english.

Okay, why the fuck are they paying Sting $500,000 a year if he's not even appearing at the PPVs? Have Sting distract Jarrett or fend off his goons when they try to do a run in, give Christian the belt, and run Sting vs. Jarrett at the March PPV. Simple and effective.

I think Christian has a VERY strong chance to win the belt. Lots of politics happening in TNA lately again with the typical higher-ups now coming back to realize the reactions to Jarrett is not best for business (just read this in the Observer I got today), even in the slightest. So we may get the switch here, and not just to lead to Jarrett winning it back either. Add to the fact Christian is really getting over here and it seems like a no-brainer, even to the most cynical within the company. Sting as champ may be a long term decent idea, but they got things build already enough with Christian to bypass any Sting run until Christian and maybe a Monte Brown run fails.

 

I was thinking Sting v. Brown at the next ppv, but maybe not. That's really odd if they dont have Sting working the next ppv, should be a given he's at every one really.

 

So looking ahead for next ppv, these are probably the three main matches...

 

Christian/Jarrett

Styles v. Joe v. Daniels II

Duds v. AMW III

Well, it's not as if everyone esle in the ME scene is made to look like JJ's bitch. So what, we all know Christian deserves the title. So give to him now, only to drop it to JJ at the next ppv, then at JJ's behest, put him in another feud to make him avoid the ME scene just like everybody else. Christian will get buried.

No. He's not going to be booked as top face over Sting. Not until Sting at least gets a couple title shots, and a couple more pointless tag wins over Jarrett.

That's what Dusty Finishes are for. The company can't keep the title on Jarrett any longer if they want the promotion to thrive, especially if they keep all or the majority of shows in Orlando. The crowd at this point is absolutely killing Jarrett and that's taking away from the credability of the title.

 

The promotion has a problem when the X-Title means more to the fans than the actual World Title.

I don't know, it's a tough situation. I think the Tables match should've just been for the titles. Then this last match would've had AMW get the belts back and hopefully put some more heat on them. Then the third match wouldn't be coming off so lackluster. The Dudleys don't need the titles but they have to win them eventually so they can add the promotion to their list of title reigns. AMW needs to come out of this feud with the belts but it looks like it's going to end with the Dudleys getting the straps. Where do they go from there? Put over the fucking James Gang? Seriously.

I was reading the Observer preview on the site and he mentioned something about an important decision just made regarding TNA/Spike. Can anyone shed some light?

To me, it seems obvious that they should play this up as Christian finally getting his shot, and then have him win it. I'd wish for a clean win, but I'm not naive. Christian should win the strap, and Jarrett can go into a fued with Sting, which would be just as good without the title on the line. Christian could get a few good matches out of Monty, and help legitimize him as more than JJ's lackey in the process. That's how it should play out, and I hope it does if the news is true that Jarrett's power is on the decline.

 

Still, we shouldn't be too surprised if JJ wins again and TNA keeps going along the same track.
